When does your day end? At midnight, or when you sleep?

There are two types of people in this world: those who declare it a new day at midnight, and those who wait until they go to sleep or the sun comes up. Which are you?

I'm one of those annoying folk in the latter category. I get frustrated when I have to make myself clear to certain people who I talk to after midnight that when I say "tomorrow" I really mean "today." Plans have gotten screwed up a few times due to this simple misunderstanding.

I know it's weird, but I also know a ton of people who are the same way. Most of them night owls like myself. I am curious to see how common it is on GAF.

When I go to sleep or when the sun comes up. If the sun is up, it doesn't matter if I went to bed or not, a new day has arrived.

time is so arbitrary, man. like, why is it 11:56 right now? why not... three million nine hundred and four? it's so arbitrary. i don't like it. i don't like it.

I tend to want to be a night owl although I've gotten better through the years so for me it's when I go to bed. However I am smart enough to realize when someone says tomorrow they mean today if it's after midnight.

Yeah, I think sun rise marking a new day is the only way people like myself who have been known to stay up for two, three days straight don't get left behind. It'd suck if everyone else was experiencing Friday while my mind was forever stuck two days behind. :O

Right about... now, on work nights.

On weekends its whenever my body will actually shut me down, which leads to crazy flips into nocturnal states - which I'm pretty sure I'm actually wired for.

I will never understand morning people.

I'm more relaxed and ready to pass out after busting a load.

If for example we had a party and it went over 12 at night if we referenced the next day it would still be tommrow instead of today. So I guess when I sleep it makes the new day?

I'm a night and morning person... I dread the evenings.
My day ends when ever I go to sleep and begins when I wake up 5 hours later.

When I sleep. I stay up past midnight a lot! I hate saying "oh yea lets do this tomorrow... well 'technically' today..." I used to say that a lot that people around me know what I mean. Tomorrow happens when I wake up. The end of the day is when I sleep.

I work at night, so pretty much the new day begins at midnight, which is also when our system goes down for ten minutes for maintenance. So in effect it feels like a kind of "reset" .
