When hear "Commander Shepard" do you think of your character or the one from promos?

Does this stick out to you as Shepard?

Or do you think of the character that you played as? The one that you most likely put in hours and hours into the game as?

For some reason I think of the generic shep. I don't think of the character I created. Anyone else?

Default male Shepard. I usually play female characters in RPGs where you can customize your character, but the default male Shepard felt like the "canon" protagonist to me since he's in all the promo materials and is modeled after a real person.

I'm boring I guess, cause I just use male model Shepard. I don't recognize the other ones, not even alt universe Jennifer Hale Shepard.

Like, he's the dude in all the promo material and videos, it feels wrong to go against the tide there

I messed up going through the menus in the first Mass Effect, and didn't realize how much customization was possible. That or I was in a hurry. Or I just didn't want to change. It was a long time ago, I don't really remember.

But one way or another, I ended up with John Shepard, default Soldier through every game.

#FemShepForLife

The redhead they picked for marketing purposes is pretty solid, I tend to think of her as the new "default" since broshep is worstshep.

Also thanks to GAF when I see broshep I usually expect a "what leads to sex" image macro

Oddly enough I think of Default Shep.
Even though I use Femshep through out all the games. Guess it's just all that marketing material.

I think of Paragon Malcom Hackness Shepherd first and secondly his renegade mirror universe self with a goatee.

That bald space pleb is way down the left.

I think of Ronathon Shepard. Badass tan, bleach blonde hair, crater face complexion, and the ugliest nose to cruise the galaxy. He got mad play for his second rate looks.

The default Shepard, I always used him when I played the games anyway. The custom Shepards always seemed a bit 'off' to me.
