As a character though, I really hate the hyperactivity of Gai and Genta.

I prefer the ones like Gosei Knight. Thankfully Jin is bringing back dat awesomeness
even if he's just a hologram
while keeping it fresh with J.

Well they do beat up Gai every so often.

Knight was terrible, worse 6th ever.

It well be shown, just not for 2 yeah. Time force was 100x times darker.

they said it wouldnt be shown, then changed their minds when everyone said to show it.

have you seen whos in the running for the new red ranger? the guy looks 13 but is actually 17. no longer teenagers with attitude.

I see nothing wrong with that I'm glad were past the 90s when late 20 somethings or older would be acting as teens. It's funny with the Japanese versions the actors are pretty young but then again that's a marketing/ratings reason.

Zeo did bad? It's been a very long time I've watched Power Rangers, but Zeo was my favorite.

You've gotta remember that MMPR pretty much blew up out of nowhere, and when you're that huge, the only way to go is down. My understanding is that it was a somewhat steady decline until the cast changeover in Turbo boosted/stabilised things.

Which also just happened to parallel with the first black leader? Hmmm.... I'm kidding folks. Seriously it did get better once the new blood was around.

Yup. It was in constant decline since season 3 iirc. 2nd half of Turbo prevented the drop.

they didnt seem as tired as the old cast was. cutting justin would have been a good move too, but whatever.

Tommy Oliver...Greatest of All Time.

Jason Lee Scott...Not Greatest of All Time.

See how that works.

Jason doesn't need to feel bad. Coming in 2nd place to someone as Godlike as Tommy when 3rd place is debatable as fuck is an accomplishment.

3rd Place possibly goes to Ichig--I mean Adam Park.

3rd Place still highly debatable.

Riiiiight.

The truth of it is, Tommy trailed on the coat-tails of Jason for so long, that he did eventually learn how to be a good leader. But better than Jason? No.

From a production stand-point, the only reason Tommy was made the leader when he became White was due to the fact that they knew Austin St. John was going to leave the show soon. Were it not for that, he would have simply kept his role as the 'coolish' 6th ranger.

Not to mention, once they DID make Tommy leader, what's the first damn thing he does when he heads out to the battlefield sporting his new white powers? Yeah, he gets his ass kicked and cries for Jason. Real awesome exemplary leadership there.

AND Tommy was responsible for the destruction of two sets of Power Coins, the destruction of the Thunder Zords, the capture of the Falconzord, almost losing Kimberly, destruction of the Ninja Power Coins, having the team turn into kids.....twice, destruction of the command center, on and on and on.

When Jason was leader....name one time they lost.

This conversation is going places I don't quite understand. I suppose that's because Power Rangers started airing when I was in 5th grade and I didn't watch it for more than a couple of years.

Anyway, Tommy is badass as can be. Dragonzord always got me stoked when I was a kid!

That's Operation Overdrive. Everyone says that's the worst season of all time.

i find it hard that it could be worse than turbo.

turbo did have a surprisingly cool finale though. i remember that and in space kinda blowing me away when i was a kid.

I always thought Billy didn't get enough credit. The rangers would have been dead several times over if it weren't for him doing the science thing.

Also, another Gai gif! (cause looking through the thread reminded me)

they have to follow the sentai footage. white become leader, so Tommy was made leader. it would have looked funny with jason the leader but always behind the white ranger when giving orders.

the white ranger was apart of the dairanger series, not zyuranger. There was no sentai story footage used for the white ranger. That, and kiba ranger was a kid in the japanese version

Poor Turbo If only they had taken it another direction It would have been fine. Frankly I would have made the first half of the season focus on the older rangers adjusting to life outside of high school and mentoring Justin in a sense.

I'd also get rid of Dimitria. She added nothing until the new teens came around. Tommy and Adam at that point had been rangers for so long. Why did they still need mentoring?

Turbo had an excellent finale though I agree.

Nope. Separate series. Also white wasn't a leader, hell he barely appeared in the show.

If you watch some of the later Disney series Turbo seems like the best thing in the world.

Frankly, Turbo started out on the wrong track. They changed so much and not for the better. Gangsta Alpha and Madame Riddles in Zordon's tube was stupid. The older Rangers were just looked sick of being Rangers and we barely saw them...and Justin was the main focus and had no idea what he was doing.

Once the cast changed though, I thought it became excellent. They brought new life to the show. Oh, and of course, that finale blew me away when I saw it.

Who ever said the reason Tommy was G.O.A.T was because of leadership qualities. He's the epitome of bad ass when it comes to Power Rangers. He got more ass and kicked more ass than anybody, ever. Jason just can't compare to that in any way at all. I'll admit Jason is a beast but he has to bow down to the greatest. Did Jason beat 5 other Rangers by himself? Did Jason have multiple hoes jocking him? Has Jason been a part of 5 teams of Rangers? Has he lead a group of OG Red Rangers to fight the Beetleborgs trying to resurrect Serpentera which would have a future call out in the best PR season Disney ever produced? Has Jason changed careers from Race Car Driver to Bar Owner to HS Science Teacher? All the answers to the above questions are of course...HELL TO THE FUCK NO!!! Jason has to bow down to Tommy Oliver. THE END!

P.S: Jason Lee Scott is FREE TO PEACE CONFRENCES!!!
