Man, this is kind of disappointing. I don't have any false hope about the Wii U pumping out technically amazing graphics, but I really had hoped that with some work, they could at least have the game running at a true 720p. It kinda sucks, and while I said earlier that I was going to get this on Wii U instead of Ps4 and PC, I may change my mind now.

Shame, was really hoping for something better. AC4, Batman AO, Deus Ex HR.

I am still enjoying Black Ops 2 though, so hope this delivers in gameplay.

Yeah, I understand that it was a port last year, and it had some performance issues based on that. I had just held out a small bit of hope that with some optimization and additional experience with the Wii U, that the game might take advantage of the additional power of the Wii U vs the 360/Ps3. This is not an unreasonable thought.

Well it's the newest game, and I'd assume that a lot of the BO2 community that are active will be picking Ghosts up and playing that........ so I wouldn't go with BO2 unless you don't plan on playing any multiplayer. The BO2 single player was actually kind of fun.

Exactly, I hope it does not disappoint and that it plays great, plus off tv play. BOs 2 after all had smooth MP.

I just had high hopes for 720p, not that it changes my decision to get it at some point, now I just don't think I will pick it up day 1.

Quite possible. A lot of current BO2 players will probably jump to Ghosts too.

I personally liked Black Ops 2 a lot. I actually enjoyed the storyline for one thing(I felt like they jumped around so much in the MW storyline that half the team I forget which character I was playing as, and I never played the Black Ops 1). Beyond that though, I found the killstreak awards less obnoxious than MW2 for example (where i felt like every second there was some super aircraft raining death on me) and I really like a few of the maps. It also has Zombies which is fun.

On the other hand (I'm assuming you are looking to pick up the Wii U version), the player base is fairly low. So if you're looking to play a lot of the game modes outside team deathmatch it was tough to find a game. Also the last time I attempted to play nazi zombies it looked all but abandoned online. There's concerns with people picking up Ghosts because of this and the fact the Wii U version of BLOPs 2 didn't get DLC support.

Regardless I'd probably say wait for Ghosts at this point. I'm sure a decent chunk of the Black Ops 2 community on the Wii U will pick it up (though some won't because I think the online experience with no DLC and small pop left a bad taste in their mouth). Additionally with Console sales going up because of recent releases + price cut + 3D Mario there will hopefully be a higher userbase as a result on this one.

I didn't see ground war, I'll go through again check to see if the mode is under a new name. In local play the max is 12 bots.

I'm on the gamepad playing but frame rate is excellent so far. The shots resolution could be lower because I'm on gamepad I guess? I'm new to the browser screens so someone let me know what to do if these screens are from gamepad instead of tv. When I go to minus and hit upload I have 2 images to choose from.

I remember when I played at certain times, I started to notice other names that were on at that time. I should never be able to get into a specific game type, at a specific time and know beforehand who I'll probably run into

Don't think it's 900×506. The Wii U Browser screenshot thread does show 900×506 pics of The Wonderful 101 while it's native 720p. I suppose it's the size of screenshots when you're in off-TV mode.

I complained about the resolution but I'd have to say that people taking issue with the small player count for multiplayer have a much more reasonable complaint than I do. If you play a lot of multiplayer, having 18 players vs only 12 could be a rather large factor in deciding which platform to play the game on.

Yes, screens taken from the GamePad are at the GamePad's resolution. You can only get 720 screens from the TV.

Sounds like 18 player matches were removed from PS360 too. Kinda odd. Wonder if the engine updates taxed PS360U too much to maintain matches with 18 players or something.

Ha, lucky you. Can you try seeing if anything in the multiplayer lobby or game mode search or whatever indicates whether or not they are using dedicated servers? Maybe try joining a match and see what it says. Does it try to make you a host or does it say something like trying to connect to .... server?

Could be any number of reasons as to why it's 12 instead of 18, but I would imagine the largest reason would be that it would mean more games get played with the max number of players. If it was 18 players how long would it take to actually get a full match going?

BO2 on Wii U supported18 player ground war.

Again, in BO2, PS360U all had 18 player ground war.

On Ghosts apparently PS360 all do NOT have 18 player ground war.

Yep. Seems to be a minimum effort and it is understandable as Wii U is not doing very well. But let's wait for more impressions.
