Pepsi and Coke are the largest brands of high fru- Soda that is out there. They have the largest line-up of any company. Out of these two, even if you prefer a class D brand, which do you prefer from either Coke or Pepsi's line-up?

Coke: Coke, Cherry Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero/no calories, Sprite, Minute Maid, Powerade, Dasani, Nestea, Hic-C, Gold Peak, Fanta, Monster, Vitamin Water, Smart Water, etc.

Hard to compare apples to apples since Pepsi has food as well. Of the equivalent beverage types I’ve always preferred the Coke brand.

im from near ATL, we went to Coca Cola in field trips in school, it is practically flowing in my veins. Pepsi tastes odd to me. Coke really is "one of the pure perfect things in this world". it is commercialism in drink form. now that i abstain from soft drinks for the most part, it is a luxury, like eating a bar of chocolate. the formula remains and it great, and one drink takes me back to my childhood in the 80s.

the rest of it, it's ok. tbh i have never been a huge soft drink fan. Coke seems iconic, like the standard, everything else can only compare. i guess 2nd place for me would be Sprite, then Barq's. none of the Pepsi products interest me outside of Gatorade (as great hangover cure). when i was a kid i used to drink Mountain Dew, but we would get the Laura Lynn generic store brand, Mountain Moon Drops, which tasted just as good, but had a much cooler name.

Negativland's Dispepsi is one of my favorite records and was really life-changing to hear as a teenager. it's a sample-based album focusing on the Cola Wars of the 80s, where Coke and Pepsi both engaged in this massive media feud, and looking into the weirder side of commercialism:

I think Coke undeniably has the better graphic design and marketing as well. The handwritten logo is so much better looking than Pepsi's constantly changing nonsense logos. And Coke got a big win for the holidays with it being the brand with Santa all over it.

yes Coke was instrumental in creating the modern day Santa Claus, those promotional paintings were very iconic.

i like their design a lot. just the visual of the swirl, it is a symbol connotative of refreshment. a luminous Coca Cola vending machine, with a big red and white backlit panel with that logo, is kind of a work of art.

Pepsi's is cool too, but the logo is designed more like an 80s pop art thing. their brand had more of an edge, it positioned itself as more current. "The Choice of a New Generation". wisely, their strategy was to make Coke look old fashioned. they were kind of like Sega to Coca Cola's Nintendo. then there were famous incidents like the Michael Jackson Pepsi commercial where his hair caught on fire. they just had this edge.

Coke is better than Pepsi, but water beats them all.

Stop drinking soft drinks they aren't good for you and make you fat. Water is a million times better.

I dont drink soda really any more, but i'll choose coke for the Barqs, as my favorite soda flavor is rootbeer/birch/cream

I don't drink soda much, these days. When I do? I will usually go or one of these:
CACTUS_COOLER_ORANGE_PINEAPPLE_SODA_20.png

It's made by Keurig Dr. Pepper and tastes of Orange with strong Pineapple undertones. The only way I can drink one of these is extremely cold on the border or slush, but not quite. I am not a big soda drinker at all, however if it's especially summertime or should I have cotton mouth for some strange reason, this shuts down my thirst faster than The Flash can rub one out.

Wait, I thought Sundrop/Sunkist/Dr. Pepper/Seven Up were independent brands and just used Coca-Cola bottling facilities?

Either way, Coke. Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry is my favorite soda, and if it does not count then Coke Zero Cherry is my favorite. Cherry Pepsi products taste weird.

Where do you see Dr.pepper mentioned?

^^^ that looks delicious EDIT: lol people posted before I could

I prefer coke over Pepsi for cola but I prefer pepsi's lineup overall. 7-up, Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew I'll fuck with. Although I do prefer Fanta over Crush

Regular: Coke > Pepsi
Diet: Diet Pepsi > Diet Coke
That in between shit: Pepsi Max > Coke Zero
Lime: Coke Lime > Pepsi Lime

Best big name diet pop to me is Diet Dr Pepper. Tastes very close to the regular stuff.

I like drinking other pop like grapefruit pop, cranberry pop, ginger ale (schweppes had this blueberry/peach one in the summer). The PC brand here in Canada has weird stuff like pomegranate and mango pop which is ok once in a while.

Coke > Pepsi

MTN Dew > Mello Yello

So for me its kinda half and half. Also depends on my mood though i prefer mtn dew over most other sodas, regardless of its edgy dudebro bullshit

Whenever I saw Lays on cases of Pepsi, I always thought of mashed potato chips inside my cans of Pepsi.

My family was a huge Diet Pepsi drinker. When I was a kid I grew up with the Coke and 7Up commercials. I loved the commercial with the 7Up of Coke truck going through the snow with colorful lights decorated around the vehicle.

Years ago, during the Olympics in Atlanta, GA I visited the Coke factory. Fresh Fresca and Coca-Cola tasted great.

I don't drink anything besides water and coffee now. I'd say Diet Pepsi would be my favorite. Socially I'd probably say Coke. Most people can get away with drinking their liquor with some Coke.

Edit: I found the commercial, but it wasn't 7Up lol. It was Coke. It also didn't have colorful lights.

The Cola flavored Zevia tastes fantastic. I love getting a can at the grocery store every now and then. Which flavor is your favorite?

Yeah I really like the cola, kinda reminds me of an RC type cola, but with a diet sort of taste, but not aspartamey. I also think the ginger-ale is pretty good.

The only other one I've tried is the root beer, and it just doesn't really do it for me. I'm not too interested in the other flavours, just wanted a caffeine cola substitute for Coke to cut back on the sugar. I wish it was more widely available, I kind of have to hunt around the city for it and there's no good way to order it online.

I don’t generally drink fizzy soft drinks but, if I were to buy a cola, it would be Coke rather than Pepsi. It takes me back to being a kid sitting in a pub beer garden with a bottle of Coke, a straw, and a pack of crisps. Heaven.

When it comes to drinks only, I choose neither. I have actually had an addiction to all those sugary sweet drinks. And for 6 years now I haven't had any. I only drink a beer once or twice a week and that's it for me.

Was a very heavy guy on terms of weight and managed to lose 25kg because I stopped drinking softdrinks.

I quite like Quaker Oats on occasion, especially when I throw in some apples or bananas. Other than water also seems the healthiest in both line-ups. Bit strange to compare a pure drinks company with one that's offering foods and drinks?

I don't really drink soft drinks, it's just water and coffee (or the occasional tea) during the day and the occasional beer in the evening. PepsiCo and Coke can both keep their sugary or otherwise sweetened drinks in fancy colours.
