This scores favorably compared to other gaming browsers. I'm not home so I can't check the PS3 browser's score and it's not on the page for some reason. I do remember it being pretty bad, vita level of bad.

The WiiU browser's score is really good, obviously not as good as desktop browsers and not iOS, Chrome, Opera, FF mobile good either. It's also a little worse than some internet tv browsers, but other than that it's as good as it gets and it's, by far, the top score for a browser on a gaming device.

Only 50 points less than Firefox 18 so, not too shabby.

And I find the 3DS browser quite useful, I've been doing some Kid Icarus sub-quests lately and I always check GameFAQs while playing.

But overall, it's not a good browser, you can't play flash videos, copy/paste or have more than one tab.

This sounds promising to me, Wii U should be good enough for emails and YouTube or to upload photos, if it supported pdf, .txt and rich text formats it could also make like a sort of ebook reader, albeit with a limited range.

By the way I find somehow odd that DSi and Wii have the same score, as they're very different from each other: unlike DSi Wii Opera can play Youtube videos but doesn't have a cronology like DSi has and so on.

It's also my understanding that the Wii U browser uses the system's "background resources", so that means just the ARM chip, 1GB OS/shared RAM, 512MB flash, etc.

they are both from Opera though. I have to admit I did spend over 8 months surfing the web using my Wii when my laptop screen cracked and died

I actually liked using the Wii browser and the fact that the PS3 (From what I saw from friends using it) and the 360 (Non existent til now) were pretty subpar, so I'm happy to hear the Wii U browser is way better.

website devs need this kind of info so it is easy to set up tests for this kind of thing from the HTML5 standards

the more features you are missing the less you score and the less use the browser has.
