Why is that strange?

this post coming from someone who is always telling people that im on your ignore list is hilarious.

I still think you are adorable

Crunchyroll's gone ahead and gathered up a large collection of new year's greetings from various shows, companies, and mangaka to take a look at. I like these two from Sunrise, one with a bunch of their shows and one Phi Brain themed:

I love holiday themed official artwork.

Happy Official Start to 2013!

This would be a great time to post cute anime girls in kimonos.

It's amazing how nobody thought of it before. Dakimakura will never be the same again.

Kokoro Connect 16

Propelled this arc to being one of the better ones, wow at both the halfway mark and the cliffhanger.
When Iori got all mad at the girls for trashing the place, that was incredible, and then when Inaba rushed in (why?!), cant wait

Loved Taichi at the start though, one of his best moments
if only not for having to put his reputation on the line for Iori...poor guy making people think he "came on" too her

Well, that was a very overly dramatic ending. I don't really remember the original series proper, but other than shuffling the pieces one final time, I'm not sure if there was anything really gained by having a final knot tied on this series.

Even the whole wrap up to the "game" seemed rather unnecessarily and extraneous and all it really did was give Iori yet another arc to angst over.

Meanwhile, the other dude on the show still doesn't get to do anything other than be the comic relief. Same old, same old. lol

That said, I totally didn't expect Inaba to be the "winner". Go figure that the friendzoned girl actually wins.

There's a part of me that wonders why they had to do these final episodes this way. Not material enough for two cours, but they wanted to adapt all the novels? Was this a money grab in order to sell more volumes? I guess I'll never figure out how this industry works. lol

Also, I was wondering why Inaba's voice stuck out in my head:

You didn't know she was Miyuki Sawashiro until now, or you just didn't remember all the other roles she's played?

Also, the more reactions I hear about the final Kokoro Connect arc, the less I want to bother finishing it.

I never really put two and two together, mostly because unless it's Kobayashi (or someone who causes ear bleeding like Omigawa), I don't really pay attention. lol

It was one of those things where I felt like I've heard the voice over and over again this year and looking at her credits, it's no wonder!

My more recent favorite of hers now:

Dude that looked like Blast of Tempest Mahiro was awesome, needed even more screentime. Good actiony end though I kind of wished for a bit more info in some areas.
like what happens with HeartSeed and we got no answers, will he put them through more trials, new club members

The weakest point was probably keeping Aoki the whole series in basically a comedy role, kind of wish he did more. And lastly each arc started off so slow, this one didnt really pick up until two episodes in, and closer to the end at that. 8.

I have a feeling that this show is setting itself up for the biggest mindfuck bullshit ending ever.

"Even in such a far back looking world, there are still things that are resolved by violence". Uhh... what the fuck does this mean? What could this possibly be saying? That the world looks old fashioned but there's still things solved with violence? Erm, okay, but literally every period in history has had issues dealt with through violence. So your little quote there isn't nearly as deep as you think it is; in fact, it's quite stupid. Holy shit, I think I just described this whole show.

This show has now brought furries into the mix. Yes, that's right; there are now furries. A fox girl, full with fox ears and tails (yes, that's plural; she actually has multiple tails). She's attacked by samurai of the princess of the Bamboo Forest, but saved by Hatsuki. Oh, that reminds me; wasn't the last time we saw Hatsuki in the current timeline the time she was on the island? How the fuck did she get to a fucking bamboo forest?

The princess is Hatsumi. Well, she's not Hatsumi but kinda is. She claims to have grown up in the forest and been the princess there since birth, but she looks exactly like Hatsumi (though I think her eyes are a different color) and even has the same comb. She says the comb is some old heirloom or something. So she's connected to Eve/Hatsumi in some way. Here's where the foundation for a really fucking nonsensical ending is being built, folks.

Then the princess and her samurai are attacked by voluptuous sex ninjas. Can't say more about them yet. I probably won't ever be able to.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how I'm spending my New Years. With this....thing.

The discussion about the posting history in the AnimeGaf OT's reminded me that I looked up past threads about just before the weekend before Christmas. The earliest that I could find was the Fall 2004 thread. If anyone's interested here's a list of all the prior Anime OT threads I could find. A few notes first though:

Note 1: There is no Winter 2005 listed because Fall 2004 goes into March of 2005, covering both Fall of 2004 and Winter of 2005.

Note 2: There is no Winter 2006 listed because the Spring 2006 thread actually starts in January and goes until June thus covering both Winter and Spring seasons.

Note 3: Winter 2011 seems to be mislabeled as 2010 as it covers the winter 2011 season. There is no Winter 2010 thread then as Fall of 2009 goes into January of 2010 and the Spring 2010 thread starts in February leaving only a month gap.

Thank you based Silver Link. I thought I would never get to watch the remaining episodes in a longass time.

Why do every event always focus on Iori? The writer sure loves to take a huge dump on her although Aoki is butt of jokes.

Hey guys. It's already 2013 here, so I'm from the future, and I can tell you that anime is still terrible.

Happy new year y'all!

Well there aren't a whole lot of actual threads in the OT Community section. Most of this section is made up of old locked threads.
