Oh god. Why?!

The moment you realize that poles production will actually be better despite being universally panned by most of witcher fans:

Well at least Zebrowski was fantastic in its role as well as the best Dendelion ever. It was panned because it didn't follow books at all, it was just mish mash of various novels with show writers trailing off from actual material for some unknown reasons. And it had rubber dragon.

either way whole thing is on YT with english subs, Vision which made this series i think shut down so it is not like you could buy it from creators.

You can also see easily from where CDPR took most of design for style of witcher

Costume Designer: I'm thinking of going a new way for this armor.

Producer: I'm intrigued. Tell me more.

Costume Designer: Think "gangrenous scrotum".

Producer: I usually am... Oh, you mean for the armor?

Costume Designer: I mean for the armor.

Producer: Well, I'm too busy miscasting all the characters, so do what you will.

I guess less and less people are gonna care about this show - particularly those who played the games. Can't be too 'critical' when your games are derived from the books while this is the the so called original show. My answers would be either "it's garbage" or low-key "okay" when people ask about it, and I will strive to not further my comments whatsoever. I will in the state of denial when this comes out lol.

This armor though, it's not even practical for mass creation. How could the armor be welded and tempered to be like this?

Aside from the aesthetics, the design makes no sense from a practical view either. Plate armor was supposed to deflect and redirect blows smoothly away, not catch them in throbbing veins, I mean, ridges.

What the fuck is this garbage? Ever since they picked Henry Cavill to play Geralt and I'm not having high hopes anyways. Fuck you

I want this show to be good but stuff like this makes it seem like someone at Netflix was like "we want something like GOT......... for a tenth of the price"

Well, the Netflix series is based off of the books and not the games, so maybe they're actually meant to look like that in the books? Maybe they'll have cgi enhancements?

I only ever read the first book and it has been a while. But I'm pretty sure no one in it was described as having some sort of armour with a scrotum inspired design.

I wouldn't be surprised if the author asked them to make the show look as different to the games as possible (since he hates them) and "different" armour designs is one of the ways they are trying to do that.

We better all band together and get them to do reshoots like in the Sonic movie. Generic soldiers having shitty armor is just unacceptable.

I hope some of you guys do know what CGI is.

How is CGI going to improve this silly looking armour design? Post processing might make it looks less cheap but it's not going to change that it looks like a raisin ?

What's with all the cgi pics with motion tracking tags on them.. Is this to prove the ballsacks with no green or tags are incomplete to be cgi motion suits. Cause lol

Seriously?

Yes. Again, how is CGI going to fix ugly armour designs?
Your one example is a high tech power armour being put in with CGI and your other example is someone who is later replaced by a fully CGI beast. Both are things which would be difficult to do in real life so it makes sense. And in both cases you can see they are wearing sensors.

An armour though? unless it's going to be on fire or have supernatural effects (which based on what we know of the world of the Witcher they won't ), it would be completely counterintuitive to make them ugly as hell and replace them with CGI.

For reference this is what the GOT cast looks behind the scenes with no CGI or post processing:
