Have you ever made them fight each other for food?

Whos stronger, the System of the Down kids or the T..ti...timmeh's?
LMAOOO

They do actually fight over food, we have this fat kid with ADD and he was kicking up a fuss over not having enough Tuna for his Jacket Potato, so stole some off another kid, they then had a full on fight in the hall.

We sadly don't have any t..ti..Timmehs :( we have a Jimmy kinda kid though.

U.S.
I once taught a girl that was bipolar. The kind that you can look at and say “you know, you’re going to be on the news some day.” Well, I had a meeting with her mother, and I could tell where she got it from. Pretty sure she married the husband and not the other way around.

They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and it’s often more true than you think

To the op, what are some ridiculous requests you’ve had to accommodate or been asked? Is there something you had to learn specifically for this job that you never in your life thought you would have to?

Toilet seat + window, was used by a child pretending to be captain america as he saw Avengers Infinity War the weekend prior the school week so he yanked it out and threw it out the window, he has no grasp on reality sadly so was expecting nothing to get broken.

Safe to say he doesn't go here anymore.

Had a few things i encountered as intern:

1)

When i was a intern i had to go to this school of special needs kids that had a hard time learning. My god what a shit fest of a class i was in where i had to fix some computer issues at that point.

So i was sitting in the back and had a complete oversight of everything.

Whenever the teacher turned around it was ww3 in that class. Like half the class was punching each other throwing shit at eachother and threatening each other.

These kids where like 8-12 year olds.

The one that had me dying from laughter in the back, was this girl that said towards this guy next towards her that he stinks and that his face hurts her eyes. The kid then reacts with, well that's what u get when u are retarded. Then the chick was obviously super butthurt picked up her deodorant and sprayed that shit in his eyes. And said now u know what i mean.

These kids were horrible.

Then when i was done with the computers, the class was already out so i walked outside the door to fix something in the hallway and i heard one group of kids planning to fuck another group of kids up, another kid 5 minutes later wanted to take revenge towards some other kids and searched buddy's to go group with. Honestly the kids that came out of that school not scarred for life should have gotten a oscar of some life time achievement.

What a utter shit fest of a school.

So i asked the director which i had to inform about the cost of a new network upgrade at the end of the day about what he thought about the kids? and he said well there is a reason they are here nobody wants to deal with them. U need to see it like this, we just take care of the kids for 8 hours a day and if they learn stuff or not that's up to themselves, they can stay here forever until they do.

2)

Now imagine that school, but with guys that are 20-35 year olds, working with heavy metals all day long and where on top of it mentally unstable. It was some kind of work special need factory that made products through donations like barbecues from metal to keep them busy and having a goal. these 8-12 year olds are frankly not a dangerous factor for you even remotely but a few guys of 2 meters muscles and mentally unstable oh boy.

So i needed to go towards the office of the director that needed some 10k costing autocad license on his computer and some other workers computers that didn't work. So i ended up sitting there re-installing the PC and fixing it, my own boss was with me at that point to fix some internet issue's in the company itself and at some point this 31 year old kid stands in front of me in the doorway and says hi. So i say hi back and ask him if i can pass and he says hi again and smiles.

So this guy that sits behind me some higher up rushed towards me and pulls me away from him. And he says never do that again. I was like what? stand close to him like that. Why not? u can't see his hands he could have stabbed you with something. I was like wut and they turn the guy around and he indeed had a sharp piece of metal in his hands.

Men i always considered people the same as me and though maybe they just have a small defect, but this was just scary as hell man. I was on his computer and he basically showcased me some recorded incidents they had with these guys becoming extremely dangerous really quick. One tries to strangle another person until he got jumped by 2 big guards that barely could contain him completely out of nowhere he just goes into attack mode and then thatt guy that was standing next towards me stabs this other guy in the side with a smile on his face. And says after it u are broken why sit and wants to stab him again until he got floored.

Now the fat guy in the back made sense, dude wasn't fat he had a bullit proof fest on with a suite over it. Not even shitting you. Men i stayed far away from those guys from that point on.

I bailed out of there and basically told my boss i didn't wanted to go there anymore which he said that's fine.

3)

Another workshop of 20-30 year olds that were mentally wonky, that would make stuff of wood. However these were not dangerous they were just incredible annoying and super childish, like a 30 year old with a 6 year old brain. They had to clean the toilets so they closed off the toilets. Well that didn't work well for those special people. They started a riot, because they wanted those toilets open. ( lol ). So some random the leader of the pack went towards the boss office and demanded it to be open. That guy obviously said its just for 30 minutes then its open again. He said no i need it open and started to scream in the doorstep for like 15 minutes ( reeee chick would be proud on this guy ). As i had to get through the door to get to my car he refused to move away. Now obviously i could have forced myself through it but the stabby guy i faced a few months earlier was still fresh in my brain to the point i stayed FARRR away from him and let it run its course which took a while.

Then one of the boss guys whatever basically said towards this guy, well imagine that. The computer just told me that the toilets are open again. ( clearly nothing changed ), Then he played this sound file through the speakers of his computer ( i was crying from laughing in in the back ). That special needs guy was super super happy and started to run through the hall way and went back to work again even while he passed the toilets 4 times with a clear sign closed.

4)

Or another situation where i was at the 3rd company again, where kids would get ice scream and started to slam it on computer screens and desktops because they where also hungry. And the boss was happy they did that ( obviously he wasn't but that's how he interacted ). So i was there a few days longer which ended up being a week as they also found access towards the server area and destroyed that one as some teacher left it open for some reason.

That's a relatively sweet story actually, I suppose it depends on how high dependency the kids are/what they're dealing with.

I was expecting something along the lines of the toaster in the staff room because someone shat in it.

Edit: I mean Cap, not the above post.

Nah apart from sometimes when the kids go nuts with being in trouble and kick doors and try and get out, we haven't really had that bad outbursts.

The kids here are normally pretty nice, we have this one kid who every Friday comes in wearing a dress, and it is sweet when you see these kids with tragic backgrounds finally look happy and at peace with life.

That sounds like an absolute nightmare, am happy to say my experience hasn't been anywhere near as bad.

It makes you appreciate things more though I guess.

One time I went on a trip to some island on New York Sound as a kid. My grandparents took me to an ice cream place and there was a bus of special needs people there too. My grandparents told me and my brother and cousins not to laugh but I couldn't help it when this one dude who was wearing a bicycle helmet ran head first into ths side of the building.

What's the funniest shit one of em said bro
Hard to think of one thing in particular, these kids just trip balls non stop bro.

But the funniest thing one of them ever DID was when this one kid came in (I shit you not) dressed as Hitler for World Book Day.

When he asked him what book would make him pick Hitler, he said Mein Kampf.

I found it fucking hilarious but wasn't a fan of all the behaviour paperwork that followed.

Reminds me that one time a kid dressed in Arabic clothes, headscarf and was brandishing a replica of AK-47 and shouting "Allahu Akbar" for an Egyptian themed event. The best part is that the kid wasn't even special needs, and the other best part is that it was me :p

Wouldn't be a problem, I still have the clothes and the gun in my wardrobe. The headscarf is really good though in particular. I sometimes wear it during summer when I go out, very comfy, airy and easy to open and close.
p.s. I won the costume contest

Oh shit, that hasn't even occurred to me, I was jut cos-playing a Mujahideen. I always thought they were badass in Rambo 3 and Command and Conquer Generals. It was in like 2005 or something, it feels like ancient history now.
