I love how Cornette talks about being a democrat and slams Republicans all the time. Yet he says so of the most racists, sexist and homophobic shit out there. Wake up Corny. Your party left you a long time ago (or at least they want you to think they left that all behind)

Corny's 60, grew up in the south and was involved in 80s & 90s wrestling, so it's always going to be hard for him to go fully woke.

I love how he pretends like the people that want him cancelled is just a vocal minority of liberals yet he thinks all republicans are the same.

God an d they are wrestling in halloween masks too?

And a DQ for breaking up a move in the ropes? What are the rules in wrestling? Jesus

The Rock is coming to Impact Wrestling. Sort of lol. I don't have a screencap but Ken Shamrock is going to be inducted into the Impact Wrestling hall of fame and he asked the Rock to do an induction video for him. Dwayne responded with a definite yes. Pretty cool. Dixie would have burned all of her dads money to get the Rock back in the day and he's probably doing this for nothing.

I have to say, Reigns character development as a heel has been fully amazing tonight in Clash of Champion. The rawness of using his Cousin to prove his point that he'll remain only tribal chief and not his cousins will knock him down. Jey, as a singles competitor, has impressed as well.

I've only seen little snippets but bad hair color notwithstanding, I enjoy watching Rusev/Miro being allowed to act normal. There's still plenty I'm not too keen on, but by and large this AEW thing seems to be working out really well a year into the TV deal. And Jericho can really make someone shine, either in ring or outside. The MJF and Jericho thing last night was funny. And Sammy looks like he's bulking up a little. I'm looking forward to how he can do once they stop punishing him over Sasha comments by making him lose to Matt Hardy. At least I assume that's punishment for the Sasha comments. Can't imagine any other reason to bury someone with a bright possible future because Matt Hardy joined the program. Thought the industry learned that following TNA's first decade.

On the WWE side the new Roman Reigns works really well IMO. I'm happy for him too. The performer did not deserve getting crapped on all those years by the fans, but the character certainly did. Tough to understand how Vince missed the boat on turning him heel previously. Guess he had never heard of someone that's related and went from nothing to top 5 of all time by saying Die Rocky Die.

So if a wrestler refuses to give up their channel, will they be fired? Cause a lot of these dudes could likely do better keeping their twitch channels and just going to a competitor who isn’t a money grubbing mother fucker

I think the problem is these days the lack of big money competitors. AEW sure but they can't take everyone and from what I've heard before they aren't giving out the big money anymore. Impact and Roh are barely clinging on. Impact might get a few though. New Japan I guess could be an option but there's only so many that could go there.

I was surprised to see a guy at Target today with a really nice AEW jacket. I really wanted to go tell him, "Happy Miro Day" but i didn't want to be seen as this random weirdo.

No idea what their contracts say about this kind of thing. But I bet you are correct that a lot of stars would be better off leaving WWE with this policy in place. I'm pretty sure I read that their online earnings would count towards their guaranteed money. A few years of eye popping reports on what streamers make causes me to wonder if some of these stars would end up working for WWE but paid entirely via streaming income.

Last WWE merch I bought was punks “BITW” white shirt and Edges “Sex and Violence”. They never got acknowledged lol..

My ex bought me the AEW grey/black hoody as a gift and I can’t tell you how many times random peeps will start conversations with me bout it. Or people throwing up the “too-sweet” whenever I wear BC/Elite shirts. It’s dope! You should say what’s up next time.

Haha i might. I was at an arcade 2 months or so ago and this guy there had on a BC shirt. I threw up the 2 sweet and complimented him. He seemed kinda surprised and not sure how to react.

That place, surprisingly, has a video wall at one spot that everytime I've gone in there, it's playing old PPVs the whole time. That night it was Wrestlemania 9. I kept looking up at it when i was playing Punch Out.

The last merchandise i bought was a Happy Rusev Day shirt (posted because why not). I have started an exchange with a friend from kik where we send each other boxes or random memorabilia, and he often has shirts in there. WAY too big for me. I'm also more of a tank top girl so i wanna take them to a tailor and get them converted. My favourites in there are the andre the giant as a bear and okada ones. Good stuff

Edit: i don't think the p

I didn't mean to post a pic twice. Sorry for the spam. I edited but then was told I'm past the 5 minute limit
You're hawt!

On-Topic, looks like Candy Cartright is suing Evolve and WWE for $10 Milliion, I feel that this is more about money than justice. I don't think she has a case and WWE will crush her

I don't know what to think on that whole case. I know that i, as well as other women i know, have occassionally dealt with this kind of stuff and no one is believed half the time. So I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, to an extent, for now. But this case is totally 'he said-she said' since there's no proof on either side. I'm assuming a settlement will be what happens with no one getting indicted.

I'm guessing that's the main goal of the suit. Suing for $40 million total without much proof reminds me of the old lawsuits WCW would be hit with. Granted they weren't anywhere near that amount of money, but they were designed to be immediately settled as Turner had a habit of settling lawsuits under a certain dollar amount to just make them go away.

Interestingly enough, the details in her lawsuit don't match up with her initial story, on top of saying she was blacklisted by Evolve in January, yet she worked with them in March of the same year. I feel those inconsistencies will severely hurt her case as well as her chances of getting the settlement.

But to play devil's advocate, it's also 2020 and I could see the WWE just saying "fuck it" and being desperate to get any more potential bad press off them.

You're right on those inconsistencies, 100%. She'll probably get nailed to the cross; i'm sorry, the 'symbol', over those quicker than Stone Cold did on RAW.

WWE doesn't need any help with bad press as we all know. I used to support them as i grew up watching and have fond memories but this social media theft is the last straw. Love lots of people on the roster but screw them as a company.

NXT was also better when it was Network only. Now even that is ruined, imo

Yeah, I don't know what the hell they're thinking on that one. You have legitimate competition out there in AEW, at least when it comes to potential growth and financial security for talent, so doing something like that seems so stupid to me. Do they really want to sour a portion of their current roster? Sure your mainstays like Rollins, Reigns etc won't be going anywhere, but you sour and piss away the younger crop and, I hate to keep harping back to them, it's late WCW all over again lol.

In regards to NXT, I still enjoy the show, but I definitely feel it has taken a bit of a hit since moving to 2 hours. When it was a Network exclusive and only 1 hour, I ended every episode wanting more. These days, I'm usually satiated and I'm fine missing an episode or two afterwards if I'm too busy.

I stopped watching NXT awhile ago. I read up on their programming so i know what's going on if i start watching again, but i think the last show i watched was this years Wrestlemania. I sadly haven't seen as much AEW as I'd like because i cut the cord years ago and don't have cable. I sometimes watch epiaodeson Youtube andove everything I've seen so far. I hear NWA is awesome but haven't checked them out yet. I should though, I'm a big Nick Aldis fan. And i heard TNA/Impact/Buellar? is good now as well

I enjoyed NWA's old school approach to production. Very JCP inspired.

I don't watch as much wrestling as I used to, so the only product I actually watch is NXT, but I try and read up on what's going on with other promotions.

Impact is just Simpact to me. I lost interest when they shoved Tessa Blanchard down my throat and put her in the world title scene, and now they're trying it again with Jordynne Grace. It just comes off as a desperate attempt to show the world how "different" they are, and doesn't seem natural or genuine.

JC Promotions was before my time but i have read up on it and watched some videos. Shame that VKM pretty much destroyed the territory system.

I loved TNA in like 2005-Bischoff/Hogan takeover. Never got tired of Joe vs Daniels vs AJ. Loved seeing Christian get the respect he deserved in the main event as well. I don't have an issue with intergender matches, but I'm also not blind to the potential issues that can surface

It was before my time as well but I went on a JCP/WCW kick when I first got the Network and really enjoyed it.

I don't have a problem with intergender matches per se, it's more so the disingenuous reasoning for the ones Impact was putting on. Just reeked of desperation in my opinion. They ended up getting pretty burnt by Tessa, but it's hard to feel sorry for them considering she had a history of that kind of shit and they still put the company on her shoulders lol. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it, and all that jazz lol

Lol ya that's on them getting burned by Tessa. What did they expect? I know I'd never hire her, even out of desperation. Not unless she pulls a Shawn Michaels by getting severely hurt and changing while gone from the ring.

Lately i get the majority of wrestling anything from videogames. I play a lot of 2k19 but been feeling an itch to play Wrestlefest, All Stars, and even Slammasters. And when the heck is Retromania coming out???

Best match y'all ever seen live? (In person)

I think might be Bucks Vs Lucha Bros All Out.

Scrull VS Okada All In was also very good.

Champs Vs Gorgano 2 at NXT Takeover up there as well.

Clearly I can't follow my own rules and pick one.
