DL0mv_-UIAAWkC7.jpg:large

As with previous years, IGN will be revealing the 2K18 roster through weekly releases. This year, the roster will be revealed through weekly videos hosted by Corey Graves and Renee Young, featuring a different guest superstar each week. Superstars are revealed using a real life photo of them, meaning that we are not guaranteed to get an in-game models for every reveal. There is, however, in-game footage shared during reveals are selected superstars.

I'll update the OP as superstars get revealed. (IGN's reveal is now complete, however more superstars may still be announced.)

Week One - 47 playable superstars revealed, guest host Goldust
Week Two - 37 playable superstars revealed, guest host Samoa Joe
Week Three - 41 playable superstars revealed, guest host Kevin Owens

It's probably too early for recent RoH to NXT signees, even for DLC. But there is no excuse not to include every single superstar of current NXT and 205 rosters.

They said the roster is going to be 100+ roster not including different eras of some superstars so there's a really good chance all of 205 and NXT made the cut. Possibly some of the UK Championship people that aren't signed.

2k17 was 156 and they said it'll be bigger this year.

Cut off time is usually Wrestlemania.

Was scrolling up from the bottom and thought it was Paige until I reached the face.

If I scrolled up from the bottom , I'd probably assume the same.

But yeah, the video they released last week about the new lighting system did make it look better but then again this is a yukes game.. who knows what glitches and bugs will come of it. I skipped out the last two years...kinda interested in this. Same goes for NBA 2k as well.

Aaaaand we have lift off. TheSmackdownHotel got a hold of the images before any IGN article has been posted:

AHH! AHH! AHH!

Akira Tozawa, Sanity (Wolfe/Dain/Young/Cross), Jinder Mahal, Cesaro, Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson.

Unconfirmed but if it's anything like last year's reveal, there should be an entrance video when IGN post the official article.

The game actually does look pretty good. Hope we see real gameplay soon.

The lower tier guys look good so far, but I need a better angle of Tozawa and Sanity have masks on.

Not sure if Jinder was a lower or top guy when they made him :lol

Styles and Bliss are the only 2 that matter anyway!

Kidding of course. Haven't bought the game in awhile. Hopefully I Dee some game play improvements so I can jump back in. No faith in Yukes though.

I'm surprised how good this is looking. Usually the people that aren't in the main event look like shit but so far I haven't seen a Dana Brooke situation.

Needs more screens of Corbin losing his Money in the Bank cash-in.

Those tag belts look like shit. But the character models look good minus Jinder.

Edit: Also nice to see 4 superstar entrances. Maybe there will be a good stable system this time.

It's a weird angle and he looks a bit derpy, so it might be alright. I'm sure when they were doing it, Jinder was still a jobber, so it might just be bad as he didn't get enough attention.

4 person entrances make sense as there's 8 people in the ring at the same time now.

I completely forgot about the upped player count. Can't wait for GWF to upgrade.

I keep forgetting he shot up to the main event only like a month ago. Fair enough for if he didn't get main eventer attention. I remember the 8 person limit I just assumed yukes wouldn't make any new entrances. Also hope this means that mixed tag matches are back.

They are. they said "Mixed-gender matches will also be a part of the game, allowing male and female superstars to take part in the same match." which I assume is only limited to the mixed tag matches rather than say having women in the Royal Rumble

Who wants to play the annual game of "What WWE superstar debuted in 2017 but won't make the WWE 2K18 Roster without purchasing extra DLC."

In WWE 2K17 it was Shinsuke Nakamura (signed January 27, 2016. Only available after purchasing "NXT Enhancement" Pack)

Feels like the 2K Models always have uncanny valley around their jaws. I'm not sure what the solution is there.

The cutoff point for the main roster is usually Wrestlemanai, let alone who they lock off just for milking purposes like the NXT guys last year. I'm betting The Hardy's will be DLC.
