I've been glancing at the GDC buzz and with ever press release I absorb I seem to be pushed into thinking deper about what's coming, and most importantly about what went on during this generation:

Xbox was "Great"... a lot of output for a statup console, some high quality and such, but they say that hindsight is 2020 and the more I think back about Xbox, the less enthousiastic I am about Xbox(next,360,what the fuck it may be).

In earlier generations, I've enjoyed a TG16, that tanked hard, but I had no regrets about it, I had a saturn that tanked and I had no regrets about it, I then had a PSX that I was more or less enchanted with. I had a DC that tanked, still no regrets.

I had an Xbox and thinking back at each game, it could, should have been better. how come that I'm not missing it one bit after selling it last fall? how is my lone PS2 keeping me so satisfied?

I've NEVER been a Nintendo gamer, the nintendo charm just goes right over my head, and as such I'm not really considering what they have in the pipeline, so my choice falls back on playstation by default, but why am I happy about it? why is it that while considering what MS are planning I feel uncertain?

I thought I'd really be hyped about Xbox 2 tidbits at GDC, but now I'm finding myself ever more uninterested. Sorry MS, unless you pulla rabbit out of your hat, I'm gone. dont feel bad Bill, I didn't plan on it, but the vibe just drove me away.

If it ends up not having games you like, don't buy it. But at least SEE some games before you write it off, for gods sake.

stop reading GAF. Klee and his troups actually made half the forum believe PS2 was as powerful as GC and Xbox when those consoles launched.

So you're basing your Xenon purchase on the XBox's software library up until this point? Uh, how does that make any sense. Straight off the bat Xenon looks like it will have a better library, just with the announcements of Q games/Mistwalker are on board. Plus you've got MS titles like Halo and whatever they cook up, plus strong western/PC dev support which is always good. MS have nowhere to go but up IMO.
