No really related to official update. But still.

Game DVR and Upload are among the most used apps on Xbox One. We know how important it is to be able to easily watch and share video clips, and starting tomorrow we’re rolling out an update to the YouTube app on Xbox One that integrates Game DVR and Upload with YouTube**, making it easier than ever to capture and share game clips with the world.

Now, use Game DVR to capture epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio, and, with the simple click of a button inside the YouTube app (look for My Uploads**), share them instantly to your YouTube channel. The updated YouTube experience also allows you to watch YouTube videos in Snap Mode, add individual YouTube videos to your Pins, earn Media Achievements, and add your YouTube channels to OneGuide for instant access to YouTube videos right next to your favorite TV listings or App Channels.

Cool feature.

Too bad the YouTube app is still shit. I still prefer beaming content to the Chromecast in terms of playing content.

The only thing that keeps me from uploading more videos on PS4 is the fact that it's tied to YouTube, I'd welcome this functionality.

You mean Facebook?

And by god, Microsoft really putting software to good use, getting that youtube app out asap. Hope it functions really well. might set a precedent for when it comes to ps4.

These updates are pretty impressive.

Now I'm just waiting for Sony to do similar things, OS is pretty much the exact same one that launched with the PS4.

People say Sony is doing nothing yet a huge firmware update is on the way with new DVR functionality and more (much of which we know nothing about yet). For all we know YouTube may come in the later update to PS4.

Both consoles have a long way to go.

Great news for Xbox1 owners. Seriously though. What the fuck is Sony doing in regard to their OS updates. MS has been on the ball lately. Sony has been dragging their damn feet.

That's nothing. What about updating the stability?

Seriously, this is awesome. The PS4 vids I've uploaded to FB are heavily compressed garbage on mobile. No way to get it to play in HD on mobile, either. Uploading to YouTube will make me go make a YouTube account.

Wow This is good News

Hopefully PS4 follows suit.

I would like to see full Hangout on Air integration, I know it will not happen though

Will try for sure. I don't even know how much space is offered for free to Youtube users, though.
I wouldn't mind another update to add support for voice search in youtube. Or even smartglass, I couldn't even use a phone/tablet as virtual keyboard to enter a query...

Major Nelson is Major Nelson (aka Larry Hyrb), not Hyb

I'm pretty sure it's Hryb. ;)

This thread is about an Xbox One feature right? Why are so many people just on the first page begging for PS4 features?

Man, they are not messing around with the features. The Xbox One is shaping up to be pretty damn awesome.

Man. I wish all companies updated and fixed issues with their hardware this fast and frequently. Good job, Microsoft!

I agree that there's really no need to bring other consoles into this -- but I think they may just be pointing out how Microsoft is really taking control of updating their console as opposed to their competitors (even though Sony, for instance, started off the generation amazingly strong but has kinda stagnated as far as updates).
