Thought I was looking at Angela Balzac for a second there.

I'm really, really worried this game will be localised by NoA and will once again use a stock standard American anime cast of voice actors. I really hope it's British again.

It's a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles. It needs to be British.

Breath of the wild 2015, Xenoblade chronicles 2 2017. I can believe that.

Hyped for it but don't expect to see it for a long time.

Looks a bit underwhelming after the XCX trailer.

Hmm...I don't much mind anime inspired graphics, but where is the X? I mean I'm down with a sequel to the first one as well, but this looks like it's completely separate. Guess that's not really a bad thing, just kinda worries me.

The only thing that makes 2017 even a bit feasible is that they'd have the engine and toolchain running very early because of all the work on zelda.

Still it'll be 2018

I loved everything about this. It felt like Xenoblade meets Skies of Arcadia. Day 0.
The artstyle really threw me off. Watching the presentation, I went basically

"Okay, Monolith...so Xenoblade....

No. Looks like Skies... or maybe Secrets of...

Is it Baten Ka...! No, that sword looks like a new Monoda...So Xenoblade....'Two?'"

Does any one know why this is XB2 (and not 3)?

It's glorious. These guys are absolute machines in creating games. This, helping on Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles X and this...

No offence but where the hell was Retro Studio's teaser?

Monolithsoft pump out an engine, make one for their new game and seemingly Zelda: BotW + still no news on what Retro is working on, can't help but feel a bit bad about that.

Because X wasn't really a sequel? (Or at least directly)

I'm not really that big a fan of anime styled graphics but I'll admit that it makes the character faces look less lifeless than the last two games. Also I see ACE is listed down for music which has me excited.

Xenoblade X is a different series.

Afaik monolithsoft is a lot bigger than Retro. Retro is actually a pretty medium sized studio by 2017's standards while monolith are 2 studio's, the RPG-devs and one specialised in asset creation for various nintendo games (including zelda).

Calling it Xenoblade 2 does kind of create some confusion about the series, but also, sure. It's not a big seller anyway.

Still hype hype hype. Easily the most impressive game that wasn't Zelda.

I didn't like the look of XCX, but this is something I really want to play. Haven't even touched the first, so Idk why. I should probably fix that, in preparation.

Ahh I see. I honestly though Retro was going through the same process (helping with Mario Kart's Donkey Kong assets) but might've been just an art consultancy thing rather than tech help per-se.

I feel like this would have been an even bigger deal had they made a good trailer for it. It's Xenoblade 2!

Just release it by the time the switch gets a major price cut, because i won't be playing it any sooner anyway. I like the way how this basically says "haha, sucker, X was just to fuck with you, this is the real Xenoblade".

Main protagonist design... meh, too childish, but a big step forward in overall character design, so much better than past Xenoblades.

Otherwise the game looks absolutely amaaaaaaaazing!!! Best thing of the presentation along with BotW.

Hope Xenoblade X port is also coming though since I skipped WiiU.

I hope Mitsuda is the lead composer this time responsible for the main themes and major beats, and not just the ending song composer like the first game.

Early 2018 for sure.

Unless they started working on this ASAP after XenoX and localization was done at the same time

I would've been shocked at an early 2018 release date, nevermind 2017. I was expecting 2019-2020 and I'm still expecting that. Would love to be proven wrong.
