Fun fact: You may have noticed all episodes use background music unique to that episode. For instance, the Maysuya episode uses the actual track being played from Matsuya in Yakuza 3, 4, 5, Dead Souls. Obtaining the background music in these games took agonizing hours since I recorded the entire tracks until they looped. M Store and Poppo Mart alone have about 20 minutes worth of BGM while the hostess clubs have over 30 minutes of material.

Unfortunately these tracks aren't featured in the official soundtrack since they're meant only as a BGM for the places you visit in the game.

Well I did my own small Yakuza tour over the years Nothing compared to what you did but still.
Was in Kabukicho in 2015, Dontonbori 2017 and Okinawa just last month^^
