I think my favourite is the MGS3 trailer leak, the last 2 minutes of that trailer came out of nowhere just before E3 2003 and everyone was convinced it was fake. Saying it was a mod made from MGS2 PC, and that Snake jumping off the waterfall and eating the Snake were animations ripped directly from MGS2. That there was no way there'd be an MGS game called "Snake Eater" :lol

Second is the first Half Life 2 footage I saw, and it blew me away seeing the use of the gravity gun where the player pushed the car into the enemy. Also seeing the opening bit where Gordon exits the train in that demo, so full of atmosphere. I think it was E3 2004 or 2003

TP's E3 2004, obviously. In the same conference, the DS reveal and Reggie/Satoru Iwata speech are worth re-watching it today, regarding what's happend in the industry those last 4 years.

In 2006 Reggie's introduction was amazing too, for the same reasons. This and Brawl trailer behind closer doors a few days later.

On non-Nintendo stuff, FFXIII and MGS announcements oin Microsoft breifings were fun.

I went into last years E3 without any expectations, NSMBWii was kinda leaked beforehand and Sin & Punishment 2 was already announced so I didn't expect too much but was still disappointed by Nintendo's showing when suddenly Reggie starts talking about an RPG:

"After going dark 6 years ago, 2010 will bring a new dawn with... Golden Sun DS"

It was the best E3 ever for me :')

Haha, I remember that moment even better. It was from 7 to 8 o'clock in the morning but I had to go to school so I told my brother, who had the day off, to call me if something relevant is shown. Around 7.45 he called to tell me about Punch-Out!! and I was kinda disappointed because I didn't expect anything else to come out of that event. How wrong I was. Mere steps before entering the school he called again and told me about Sin & Punishment 2. Needless to say I had the most hysterical laugh and people looked at me like I was some madman. Nerdiest moment ever but I don't care! >:-(
