Though in a lot of ways F&F is far past its early beginnings, its not about just pure racing anymore, its about the over the top stuff and stunts. So i hope people are not expecting that from NFS and i hope Ghost games does not indulge them.
Because NFS tried to do that after UG and MW an failed.
And of it was 60fps then once the first screenshots dropped everyone would be whinging about the graphics because 60fps games don't look as good in stills as 30fps racers.

Fingers crossed you actually have to earn better cars, found it a bit lame in the new Most Wanted, you just find it on the map and hey presto. No sense of accomplishment or reward. Hopefully you earn dolla in races to afford them, also pink slip races.
The new Most Wanted was probably one of my biggest NFS disappointments. Just didn't feel like MW very much at all.
It's amazing how much a difference the name can make. I would have loved the game if it was called something else but I couldn't fully enjoy it because of what I was expecting from the Most Wanted name. Maybe it's a similar situation here where they're not giving the game a subtitle?

I like the sound of Urban car culture and extensive visual/performance customization!
It seems however that there won't be any drift or drag racing?
Can you say how this will manifest itself in the game in terms of the kind of things you'll be getting up to?
Ghost Games Marcus Nilsson: Need for Speed is about speed. Races are absolutely there. People still want to be first across the finish line. But there are also a lot of different ways people go into this car culture. We go to drift events. We look at a lot of the stuff happening with Gymkhana. You might not drift on a track. You might drift on the streets. What type of events do they have? We're trying to dial into how people enjoy their cars in real life, and try to make something interesting from a gameplay perspective with that.

I miss the Shift series

Drag racing will probably be in too.

It was a fun game, don't get me wrong, but about the only thing it had in common with the other Most Wanted was the blacklist. I hope this one is much more Underground or Most Wanted than just simply a NFS posing as a popular one.
There will be drift and drag events.
Come on now its street racing that would be retarded to leave out in any fashion.
Edit:
The audio in that was incredible. Sounded like the tires were mauling the asphalt.

Wtf is ghost??
Touge 4 lyfeIt better be. I also want to drift down a mountain again.
I really hope this game delivers.

I'm intrigued. I looked through Speed Hunters website, and it's lovely.

All the talk about the story being such a big deal is worrying. I don't see them pulling it off, short of a miracle.
Also won't racing at night the whole a) make it hard to see where you're going and b) generally just get old after a while?

Hey guys, I think the game will totally look like that when it launches.
