I'm hoping that if they have another 3-5 year development cycle for GT6, they start going through the standard cars and converting more of them to the "premium" quality. I don't know what else they could really add feature wise, except for that and maybe re-doing sound for the cars. Regardless, I expect them to just up the quality of the game even more.

On the PS4.

They could improve a lot of things.

Better Sound
More 'Premium' cars
More tracks
Dynamic weather and time for ALL tracks
Better damage
BETTER HUD

And that's about it I guess? Of course, improved visuals is a given. I guess they've got an excellent base with GT5. From there, they can simply add on and refine.

Still 2D trees, ones they do 3D trees, then it's officially not a game, but an official real life racing experience. :D

But so far, you will have to deal with the Car Porn for now, Tree porn will be on GT6. :lol

lol. people say the same corny shit ever generation. this was said for GT3 and the first Madden on PS2 because it was such a leap. But if you can't see all the obvious areas for improvement...well...just think about this thread in 2015 when the Xbox 720, PS4 and PCs are doing some even scarier shit than you seem to be able to envision right now.

I've googled more ideas. They could also improve on:

More photo-realistic in motion
More photo realistic in general
Physics update
Bikes
a whole host of racing types/genres
rikshaws ( I googled races I think, and somehow ended there... :lol )
*Rewind* :)( ... some people I hear want it)
*virtual cities to drive around
*garage in Home (?)
* Pink slip races (from this very thread actually)
* Full on livery editor
* build your own car from scratch, shape it, design it, test it, run it, wind tunnel etc

Oh theres more, but that reminds me. Wind tunnel, whatever happened to that?

edit: ps. Oh and if there's still enough memory, 3d trees. Hell, even climbable trees for the shits and giggles.

Nothing happened to it, there's going to be some sort of customisation feature, we're just not sure what exactly

in terms of cars models - the premiums are future-proof. in terms of physics and deformation modeling - we've just barely scratched the surface. then come the elements - the weather modeling will be an art of its own. heck, as it seems we still won't be getting day-night cycle or weather across all tracks *looks with sorrow at lemans 24@DC*

The insane level of detail in the 200+ plus cars means they get a head start over any racing sim after GT5. Kaz did say the premium car models are pretty much future proofed. I highly doubt any racing sim launching within the next 2 years is even going to come close to what GT5 is offering now.

Considering how shit GT: Mobile was, and how far removed GT2-4 were from their pre-release hype, and the fact PD have only just discovered a decent physics engine since Prologue means I refuse to shit my pants in excitement over this.

Day one purchase though.

So it appears the game will have the same performance customization schemes as GT1 and 2? Looks very slick but Im kinda hoping it goes a bit deeper than that at least for maybe the premium cars. Photo mode looks soooo damn good.

Looks like you are not much familiar with racing sims. Beauty graphics is not so requirement for them.

But just for curiosity, who is holding this "king of graphics of racing sims" for now? Forza in the past 3 years?

Something that I'm not clear on is whether the standard cars have a cockpit view or not since for this game I would probably use that view most of the time.
