What's the record for a FF in Japan?
I have all the world-wide sales for each FF game but sadly it doesn't specific how much game from both America and Japan.

There are several big releases next week. Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan, DQ Yangus, Mother 3 and Okami will most likely definitely be in the top10. Brain Training 1 and 2, English Training and Animal Crossing will also no doubt definitely be in the top10. That leaves 2 more slots. Pokemon Ranger will probably take one of the slots. Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai for PSP is probably going to get the other slot.
As for N3, looking at the total userbase of the Xbox360 (about 140k in Japan)....... unless overall sales are down drastically (an impossibility based on the releases next week) there's no way it'll chart.
Prediction:
1. (PS2, Square Enix) Dragon Quest Shounen Yangus
2. (GBA, Nintendo) Mother 3
3. (PS2, Capcom) Okami
4. (DS, Nintendo) Motto Nou wo Kitaeru Otona no DS Training
5. (DS, Nintendo) Oideyo Doubutsu no Mori
6. (PS2, Square Enix) Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan
7. (DS, Nintendo) Nou wo Kitaeru Otona no DS Training
8. (DS, Nintendo) Eigo ga Nigate na Otona no DS Training: Eigo Zuke

FFVIII was largely hyped up in Japan due to its soundtrack... particularly the hit song composed by Nobuo Uematsu and performed by Faye Wong, Eyes on Me, which won several music awards and was a multi-platinum seller.
I think FFVIII is the best selling FF in Europe, too, and the 2nd best selling FF in NA. It's only outsold by FFVII by a couple hundred thousand units, and they might be virtually even now, since FFVIII has still been selling relatively strongly for a PS game (much moreso than FFVII, at least in the last NPDs where we were getting the complete report on GAF).

I have Xbox360 at around 105,000 in Japan, I don't know how other places get it at around 130k.

I'm gonna predict ACWW will bounce back. Really, it's not a prediction. It'll be this way forever - drop, increase, drop, increase, increase, drop, drop, increase. There's no rhyme or reason to its drops and increases, they just seem to randomly occur.

It's so ironic. Bebpo originally refuted a claim that FFXII wouldn't outsell Brain Training 2, not Animal Crossing. He only decided to go the extra and go with the best selling DS game. If he just went with Brain Training 2, he would have won the bet with regards to the first month (or hell, the first week).

This was before seeing Animal Crossing drop back a bit this week which is puzzling me, I don't know if it's loosing steam or if stocks are maybe getting a bit low or what.
