I checked out Meristation.com, ran the accompanying story through the ship's universal translator Babelfish, but there was no mention of how the game played. Apparently Jade demo'd one mission from the game,

No mention of any issues with the game.

I also checked out the "Commentaries", however if you thought Gaf was bad with 'Jade sexy lol' comments, you should check out what the posters there have to say.... it probably sounds a lot creepier with babelfish doing the work

Thank you. Reading that translated version of meristation has made me smile :lol

Seriously. The "jade love" is everywhere, not only on gaf. Some members of meristation have jade on their signatures, and comments such as "I'd fuck her" can be found everywhere :D

Just read it and the Jade Q&A attached to it. The only mention of the PS3 version is a question about whether or not the game will make use of the Sixaxis. Hope it turns out well, my head hurts from reading spanish. Maybe I should do it more often. :lol

Question

why does some text and information pop up when you target a enemy

please explain to me what is going on in these 2 screens, why is there some digital distortion in this first photo?

better explanation please :lol
You might not want to read the spoiler
Basically the game premise is that in the future you are someone plugged to some sort of machine that can "read" your past and let you re-live it. Somehow it's not that much a departure from Prince of Persia: Sand of Time's narrative

makes u wonder why they played the ps3 version and not the 360 one.

dare i say the PS3 verion is better? :lol
That would be a blessing, but it's probably to show everyone that the ps3 version exists and it's not a mess.

They are demoing it in Europe right? Then maybe they realized it will sell more ps3 copies here than the 360 version. If they demo it in America then it would the 360 they will be using to demo.

I'm surprised this game is actually being released this winter. I thought they would delay it till Spring/Summer of 08. My assumption is this game will be a mess regardless of which system it's on.

I haven't seen this little piece of information anywhere else yet:

THE MUSIC OF ASSASSIN’S CREED" PLAY MAGAZINE

Jesper Kyd is featured in the October issue of PLAY Magazine (US) discussing his original score for ASSASSIN'S CREED.

Here's an excerpt:

"In order to match the epic scale of the game I wrote over 100 tracks for the score and we have around three hours of music in there---the game is just so open-ended it needed a massive amount of music. I scored all the music featured in the game: cut-scenes, locations, investigation music, approach music, combat music, escape sequences, horse riding, street musicians, training session music, and many other specially composed music pieces."

That has to be the biggest project he's ever worked on. I can't wait to hear all the music.

Oooh, that's pretty cool! I'm a big music buff in games, this makes me happy! Not enough companies invest in music much...

They already delayed it before.

Here is a video from that site, its mostly an interview but there are a few glimpses of gameplay and it looks great.

http://www.meristation.com/v3/video_player.php?id=cw47224d94e2a45

"We had two teams dedicated to both platforms so that we could deliver the same exact experience on both. And now, that's actually what we've done." A Wii version would have to be a completely different game but maybe we will do it in the future and take advantage of the controller" - Jade Raymond.

hmmmm .... we'll find out soon, won't we :)

The one short piece of gameplay in this video looks to be the same as the walkthrough shown a few weeks ago. Now that I think about it, that walkthrough gave no indication of which platform the game was running on. Perhaps it was the PS3 version?

Sometimes enemy NPC's flash/distort like the Predator or something too. Looks dumb and stupid too.

my spanish is pretty bad but does this paragraph suggest that the ps3 version had superior aliasing?

Time to make the last ones prepared to you before the winter escapes in Ubisoft house, that it has recently organized an event to Milan for being able to promote and to celebrate the imminent arrival of Assassin' s Creed, promising and exclusive intellectual property, on which basing part of the present and future plans of development. The presentation has seen the presence of at this point celebre producer the Jade Raymond - in photo -, that it has had way to describe the main characteristics of the game and to reassume the development that has been some to the shoulders. Little to say the truth the news to bring back, if it were not for a short one I point out to the history: the mysterious Altair protagonist will enter in the narrated vicissitudes after to have bankrupt a mission and will have to eliminate, for redimersi, nine figures to whose shoulders hide still advanced interests respect those of the Crusades that will make background the vicissitudes, probably one secret society. XBox360 Jade Raymond Playstation 3 The offered test granted to turn liberations between the roads of the city of Damascus, without being able but to undertake missions or to exit to outside of walls. In compensation the versions have been possible to see to little meters distance both, 3 Playstation and Xbox360, of which we propose some comparative photos. The final result, also to said of the sviluppatori, is substantially identical, with the impression absolutely to confirm that Sony consul decides of one pulizia leggermente advanced to discapito of an equally little marked one aliasing.

The end result, according to the developers, is essentially identical, with the impression from absolutely confirm that the console Sony has a slightly higher cleanliness at the expense of an equally marked little aliasing.

I don't think that visuals have never been a concern with Assassin's Creed. Those who saw AC on the PS3 behind closed doors at E3 said it looked very similar to the 360, even if it didn't run as well. The real concerns are the sub-30fps, tearing, NPCs popping into view, horses that change colour etc. annoying little bugs that seem to disrupt the gameplay.

And that is not a shot of AC running on the 360, whoever tried to fake that shot should have cropped more of the image, you can see the square PS3 button where it should be an X for the 360 controller.
