1. Challenges, winners and claimed prizes will be listed in the next post below. Ones that haven't been completed will always be at the top of the list. You can compete in as many challenges as you have enough eyes for.
2. Unless a challenge says "(Repeatable)", only one contestant can win any given challenge. If multiple players are trying for it, the first one to post their proof in this thread gets to claim the prize.
3. There is no need to "call" challenges. Just go for it, and when you finish post your proof along with which prize in that eye-range you want. If you are the first one to do so and that prize hasn't run out, it's yours. If someone beat you to the punch, you keep the eye(s) to use for something else.
4. Proof will be either in the form of a screenshot (you can just use the Steam screenshot feature, F12, upload it to your Steam account as "Public" or "Friends Only" and ensure that you are friends with Hawkian) or will be self-evident based on the challenge. Do not post "I DID IT! Getting screenshot!" and then edit your proof into that post later, you can't win that way.
5. More challenges will be added as some are completed. This is to help people in various time zones have more of an equal chance to try for what they want most. The first batch of challenges will, however, mark the start of the Portal 2 challenge. Check the thread often, this time will be announced in advance!
6. Once you've won something, I'll post your name under the conquered challenge, along with what prize you've chosen, and which Golden Potato Donor is responsible for delivering you your prize. I will also PM that person to let them know they need to gift you the game. From that point on, please interact directly with the Donor to make sure you get your games. And be patient, remember that they could happen to be on the other side of the world!
7. In addition to the main challenges, there are three types of random events that may pop up at any given time. They are:
-Double-blind Experiment: costs no eyes to attempt, but you won't know what the prize is until you win. When one of these is posted, call it in the thread if you want to go for it. As long as you complete it within a certain time frame, you win. If you fail, the next person to have called it gets the same amount of time to try.
-Sack Hop: Gogogogogogo! A task and specific prize (usually a one-eye game) will be posted. First person to post proof of completion gets it! These will usually be very simple, it's all about seeing it and doing it fast.
-Eye for an Eye: Be a good samaritan. Talk to a fellow test subject on Steam and find out a game they were planning to compete for. Complete the associated challenge for them. If you win it, their eyes are spent and they get the game. You then get to choose any available game of equal or lesser value at no eye cost to you! When "Eye for an Eye!" is posted, the first person to quote it claims the opportunity to do this.
8. Finally, as certain conditions are met (some hidden, some obvious), you will see posts from me which begin with "melisma:" and are entirely spoiler tagged. This content may contain spoilers regarding the Portal universe and the Amnesia DLC, Justine. If you haven't played the games, you may wish to avoid these. They won't spoil the plots of the games themselves, but if you're avoiding even and implied plot points, you won't want to highlight these. Nothing in them will be needed to simply compete for and win games.
