What scores did the previous Layton games get? 32/40 seems a bit low for a Famitsu review of a high-selling series.

DW8 got the same score as DW7 did (36).

So great for that but considering this is basically DW7.5 I do wonder what they reviewers said.

What did they say about DW8. I must know.

"When you pick up the controller, you get the feel of playing an exciting game."
"Moving around feels very good."
"The tempo of battle is very pleasing."
"When playing this game, it brings the authentic feeling of Chinese history to mind."

Editor: "Hey guys, what score do you think Dynasty Warriors 9 should get?"
All Reviewers: "9!?"
Editor: "Great, thanks!"

With the exception of the last one, you summarized western DmC reviews.

When Musou is getting all 9s, Famitsu should just stop bothering with the pretense.
Give everything 10s and just turn your rag into paid advertising.

Considering the mainline DW games have mostly been getting 36s since the 3rd one, I suggest you stop caring about Famitsu reviews ages ago.

Anything interesting with GE2?

Looks like they just introduced a new character and some new weapon actions.

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu introduces a new character in God Eater 2.

Romeo Leoni, voiced by Makoto Naruse, is 19 years old and has been a member of the Blood group for a year longer than the protagonist. He’s caring and openhearted with anyone and everybody, but sometimes chooses to show off his authority as a senior. He also knows a lot about fashion and idols.

Aside from Romeo, the magazine also introduces new actions for the Short Blade, Long Blade, and Buster Blade

Probably no one cares, but there are 2 more new titles in this week's Famitsu.

Memories Off 6 Complete
Memories Off Yubikiri no Kioku
PS3/PSV
Releases June 27th, 2013
Both titles are ports of their previous releases on other platforms, and feature Cross-Save so you can share your save files between PS3 and PSV.

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
Looking forward to GE2.

Man if its an expansion to ACV Id just rather them go back to the drawing board with what made the series great. Since truthfully all they did was turn the game into Front Mission literally with how the cores functioned for the most part.

What did they say about DW8. I must know.

Here's what has been posted on Koei Warriors:

Exciting & Satisfactory action gameplay is even better than before
With convenient support features, it becomes very easy to play
Weapon affinity is interesting, and with Variable Counter it makes the gameplay deeper
Commander mode has much replayability which is good
New action gameplay is pleasant and has evolved much
Hats off on more than 70 playables
Much replay value with over 100 hours
Story mode takes about 35 hours to complete

I believe there should be a more complete transcript of the review should be coming out later.

LOL. Well since buying DW4-6 I finally skipped 7 and I still don't feel like I missed much. I've been content to listen to a few of the songs on Youtube (haven't got my hands on the OST yet), but it doesn't seem as awesome as DW4 and DW6's soundtrack. I don't know if I should bother with 8 yet either. As a Wu fan it's nice to see Han Dang I guess, but I was hoping for a return to individual Musou modes and nothing grabs me. Maybe I've finally given up on the series.

See, mine weren't too far off.

=P

I still remember Dynasty Warriors 6. "You can swim now!"

Special edition for PS2 - "Fuck you, now you can't! Not that it helped too much anyway, not having a horse means you travel slowly."

I admire the dedication it takes to make the games seem so amazing.
