On the right of the page.

I might give it a go despite the lack of impressions. I still have 2000 points tied to my DSi from launch day and a weekend of train journeys to fill.

The only things I have downloaded so far are Puzzle League, Code, and Flipnote.

$15 Wii Point cards at Wal-Mart.com. There's Bing Cashback possible somewhere in there, too, but it's still a good deal without it. I think shipping is like $2-3 for one card, but it's < $1 more for each additional card.

Excellent. I have an online only gift card left over from the Smash Bros Brawl debacle in Jan '08. In for a 7 Dollar Wii Points card.

Reflect Missile is pretty fun. The presentation is about as exciting as the name, but it's a pretty addictive little game and exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for to play on the train.

Mighty Flip Champs and Reflect Missile get :D

Both are great little games, though managing my DSi memory for such titles is becoming increasingly clumsy... Can't believe we're all wanting a fridge solution all over again!

Man, we should be getting more VC Arcade games already...

Do those work on the DSi Shop?
Yes. But WATCH OUT! Nintendo points, once redeemed on system of choice, is not movable to the other one.

I have 2500 Wii points and 500 DSi points. God knows what I'm going to do if more than Reflect Missile shows up.

Hehe, I know.

I was just quoting Snake.

..and wishing Nintendo would make an exception and bring out an MSX game in North America.

I can't believe Nintendo chose to put everything on one long line. What was wrong with the channels grid on the Wii? That would have worked even better on the DS!

Put games at one end, apps at the other, settings/download icon/pictochat etc in the middle, and use the slide bar at the bottom to go instantly between them. Love it.

That is interesting. I think I would probably still prefer a 6x4 grid or whatever.

In other news... still completely addicted to Reflect Missile. 94 stages down.

I'm not sure why this isn't part of the Art Style series. Maybe there's a set of unwritten rules that a game must obey. Or perhaps Nintendo think that they flooded the DSi store with too many Art Style titles too quickly.

I just know that the name isn't doing the game and favours.

But I love that the battery-icon, clock and volume display are on screen during the levels.

I'm glad everybody's so excited for Ogre Battle. I can't wait to hear everybody complaining every week when it doesn't release!

Updates are available for Dr. Mario Express (500 point section for those who do not remember where it is in the shop) and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (800+ point section) on DSiWare shop. Downloaded both, but I have no idea what has changed. Saves and records are retained so no worries.

VOOK

We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.

Is the game playable from a non-japanese speaker? Wouldn't mind throwing down $6-7 if it is playable.

Based on my experience from playing it on the MGS3 bonus disc. No, not without a guide (And that takes away half the fun anyway)

Remember that both Wii and Nintendo DSi feature parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit Wii.com or NintendoDSi.com.
Yay? Can safely say that I am not getting anything this week, though Solomon's Key kicks ass.

Isn't Solomon's Key already on VC on something else?

Anyone know anything about Foto Face? A quick Google doesn't reveal much but I'm all for platformers!

I wonder if Konami pulled some strings to have Castlevania ReBirth released closer to Christmas. Would kinda make sense, since folks can then download it just before the holiday or gift it to people. Eh, who knows...still sad, though, to see another week go by without it.

Bookworm
Publisher: PopCap Games, Inc.
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)
Price: 500 Nintendo DSi Points
This also appears to be launching as a DS card game in about a week, so this must be an options-limited version. Also worth noting there's a similar homebrew DS game called Word Up if you have that ability.

Here are the differences, from ther press release:

Bookworm DSiWare and DS
Bookworm was originally released by PopCap in January of 2005 and has been ported and re-optimized for ten different platforms, boasting over 100 million downloads, and making it the world's most popular digital word game. Now, for the first time, Bookworm has been adapted for Nintendo DSiWare and Nintendo DS with an array of new features and modes that are exclusively available on DS. The DSiWare version of Bookworm includes the complete Classic mode and has been specifically tuned for dual-screen, vertical use. The DS version offers all of the content that has made Bookworm so popular as well as entirely new gameplay not available anywhere else, including the multiplayer Bookworm Battle mode, 20 all-new Collectible Books, the ability to construct a library based on your game progress, and the all-new "Lex-Ray" – a fun new way for the game's hero, "Lex," to measure and track your growing spelling and vocabulary prowess.

With both new versions of Bookworm, players whet their appetite for spelling fun in PopCap's hit word-puzzle game, an immersive title for word game aficionados of all ages and levels. Players link adjoining letter tiles to build words, complete each level and feed "Lex." They'll use Reward Tiles and spell Bonus Words to boost their score.

Also, nice to see that Aksys is continuing to bring out Technos games. Looks like they have rights to the whole library...

Still waiting for Donkey Kong (arcade) to be released. Wonder what's taking them so long. It's the most obvious first party arcade choice.

Not interested in any of the titles this week, but I'm glad to see Nintendo getting more titles out of the way. Now it's two less games until Earthbound!

Christ. How can a port of an ancient freeware game like Cave Story take so long? It's frustrating that Nicalis' decision to pursue half assed DLC no one cares about is likely one of the culprits. I feel like they've squandered an incredible amount of good will and interest that the project generated when it was announced. Here's hoping pricing doesn't end up being the final rub.

Cave Story just keep failing at approval. It's new dev and they must not be used to Nintendo's devellopment guidelines. At least they have true reasons not to be released already. As for Castlevania, Konami isn't telling shit.

Anyone know if/when Moonwalker will see a VC release? I saw an announcement in a thread on GAF but would really like to see it soon.

As I keep telling people on here, CV:Rebirth was released 20 years after the original release in Japan. Konami is probably releasing it 20 years after it was released in North America which is sometime in December.

Though I share the frustration with Cave Story. Nicalis shouldn't of been cocky and made the outlandish claims that the game would of been released in the spring or summer :lol.

You realize Q4 2009 means anytime between now and the end of the year right? Even then I'd be surprised if it didn't slip into January as the other Rebirth titles took forever as well.

That would make more sense if there weren't 500 extremely crappy shovelware games on WiiWare. If Nicalis repeatedly can't meet the standard those titles required to pass through we should be worried. As I already stated though, I suspect it has to do with the DLC portions of the game, future compatibility, etc., which is frustrating because the content sounds completely superfluous.
