No worldwide splits, but considering practically entirety of Europe has PS4 SKUs leading over XB1 SKUs, PS4 Ghost should be well ahead.

It's just US that's different, where the split is pretty much 50:50 ( pretty damn good for Xbox since the difference in install base is around 700k now)

From the NPD release CoD sold more PS4 in US too on release but I think they didn't counted bundles.

France is last week chart.

The Destiny release will happen in Week 37 to be released next weekend (the chart in France have a week of delay).

YTD the overall software sales ratio between PS4 and XB1 has been ~1.2 so it's not all that surprising.

A few reasons:

1. It's Bungie

2. UK did an advertisement for fragrance

3. The free game deal

4. The heavy marketing for the 3 game deal

5. Some stores had exclusive destiny deals for Xbox One.

It's funny how people can make a platform choice which will last them for 5 years, based on the cost of a single game. You could offer me a bone and every current title for free and if I didn't have a PS4 already I'd still get that first.

It's always been like that. Some people it's the other way around like the watch dog deals on the PS4 got people to buy the console.

Hype and cost are 2 things people see and hear and only base decisions off that all the time. Especially the latter.

Considering I've seen it already below the 40 pounds price point (SimplyGames is selling it for 35) I doubt it will have a lot of legs...

Game must have been overshipped considering 90% of next-gen version of games are still overpriced.

Madden and NHL sold more on the PS4, despite once selling the most on the 360. The tides are turning, CoD and eventually every big third party game will sell more on the PS4.

Well that particular article is about Minecraft (and the Mojang acquisition by MS) so it's just about that...

But they do give a few extra numbers for it:

PC sales still around 7000 per day, 10000 or even double sometimes.
360 version best selling retail game in July in the UK, followed by the PS3 version.
Over 100k digital sales on PS3 in Japan.
PC/Mac/Consoles a little under 32M, iOS/Android a little over 22M.

Given Sony-targeted advertising, Xbox One version of Destiny didn't do bad.

Several new releases make their debuts this week but it's Activision Blizzard’s ‘Destiny’ (-78%) that comfortably holds on to top spot for a second week.

The Bungie developed title also continues to give a strong boost to PS4 hardware sales with over 72% of the format being the Destiny hard bundle. It means that ‘Disney Infinity 2.0’ has to settle for No2 in its first week although it's one place higher than the debut of its predecessor. The new Interactive Toys title is also 32% up on the week 1 performance of the original ‘Disney Infinity', which arrived just over a year ago. Wii U exclusive ‘Hyrule Warriors’ developed by Omega Force also arrives at No3.
The new arrivals push last week’s No3 ‘Watch Dogs’ (-23%) down a place to No4, while ‘The Sims 4’ (-41%) drops 3 places to No5.
