Here is our finished Star Wars nursery. My wife did the illustrations at the end.

That basket on the right is begging to be modded as R2-D2

I saw this theory and now I believe, even when I see the movie and it's obviously proven wrong, I will believe. I believe in the scars.

DJ = Dark Jedi = Ezra. Ezra left the rebellion, went to a Space Spanish speaking planet to pick up the accent and became a grifter. I'm down.

He's too young, unless they froze his ass in carbonite for a couple of decades.

I mean I like the idea of burned out Jedi, but It's not Bridger.

Del Toro is 50 right now, Bridger would be 53 during The Last Jedi (born 19 years before Yavin, and The Last Jedi starts 34 years after Yavin). I think it's close enough that they could be the same character.

oh. i figured ezra might have aged in parallel to Luke. maybe time has been kindto him.

on the other hand, Mark is playing younger.

Ezra ain't gonna be in a Saga movie. Not happening. People gotta let it gooooooooooo.

"DJ" definitely isn't going to be "Dark Jedi" or "Darth J" either. Sith are gone, Jedi are gone (light, dark, or otherwise), and they're not gonna so blatantly label (in a Vanity Fair piece 7 months out) a character so mysterious that he goes unnamed in the movie. It'll either be more tongue-in-cheek than that anyway.

On a scale from Lego Mandarin flame cannon buggy to Lego Giant Man, how spoilery are the sets looking? Cuz I kinda want to check them out, unless we're getting Qui-Gon's Noble End in brick format, lol.

You are getting a look at something you most likely dont want to see yet.
At least it will save you a major disappoinment.
And no, its nothing with parentage stuff.

Someone in the other thread suggested Don Juan. Would fit with the grifter characterization and casino planet setting.

Jesus Christ, Finn.

What's with that dude and taking all of Poe's things? Next thing you know he's gonna have a cool black X-Wing and a BB-8.

Screaming Citadel 3 is out today and while it's fun, I have to say the past two issues haven't lived up to the potential presented by the first issue. Without Checchetto's art it doesn't really feel like gothic horror and the nice pacing from the first issue has been condensed due to smaller page size so that it's just characters running around. The villains aren't memorable outside of the Queen whereas they all stood out in issue 1. And Han, Leia, and Sana aren't really necessary. The story would've worked better focusing just on Luke and Aphra.

It is a shame they decided not to focus solely on Luke and Aphra. The banter between the two of them in the opening issue was one of the best things about it. One of the main problems I had with Vader Down was that it had too big a cast and felt too hectic as a result. I was hoping Screaming Citadel would avoid that.

I haven't read #3 yet but I'd agree #2 wasn't as good as I was hoping after the opening issue. Though I feel Aaron's dropped the ball a bit in general lately so I was expecting to enjoy his issues less.

I think they need to replace Aaron in general. The only story arc in the mainline comic that I loved was the Grakkus arc. I mostly just read it for it's canonicity.

Agreed. Aaron's been phoning it in for a while. A huge part of the problem IMO is that there's just been way too many Luke, Han and Leia stories set in the post ANH era. There's really just not a lot left to tell at this point.

They need to either move past Empire or, preferably, with The Last Jedi nearing completion, finally drop the stupid mystery box and start filling out the 30 year long post ROTJ era.

I don't think they need to jump to post-Empire yet, actually. As far as I can tell they're no further than maybe 1 year past ANH at this point. But I would prefer if it they actually made this feel like a war. So far it's more wacky adventures of the Big 3. There's a place for that but like...where are the battles? Where's Twilight Company leading the Rebel vanguard as they try to liberate the Mid-Rim? I think if they just shook it up so not every story was about Luke/Han/Leia's side adventures then we'd be good. Maybe shuffle Sana off to the Aphra comic so they can do something more interesting with her there. Have Thane and Ciena show up, have Rae Sloane leading fleet campaigns. Something!

Heck, where's Wedge?!

Grakkus' arc was my favourite as well. It helped that it had by far the best art too.

A move away from the big three and more of a focus on what the Empire/Rebels are doing across the galaxy would be nice. It's not like the book wouldn't sell if they moved the focus to new characters or existing side characters.

I'd recommend Bloodline next if you haven't read it already. It's by the same author but set five years before The Force Awakens with Leia as the protagonist.

Read it too. Just before Lost Stars. Great book and actually the reason I wanted to give Lost Stars a try even though it was a YA book. (And I am anything but Young)

Claudia Grey knows how to write SW novels!
