Rainbow Six: Siege |OT| Idris Elba sold separately

This wouldn't work in PVP, but imagine a counter-operative/ Left4Dead Versus style game mode where 3-4 of the terrorists in Terrorist Hunt were players?

Would be even more intense/nightmarish...

Man... that would be so much fun! Have some special enemy types like "suicide bomber", "enemy sniper", "mounted LMG guy" etc... and have them selectable in a set enemy count classic terrorist hunt mode!!!

yes

because what we need in a game with friendly fire is a playable suicide bomber :v

Haha true although I don't think we'll see as much team killing in the actual game as the beta. The beta was free so it makes sense kids would download it just to team kill sadly enough. I'm surprised how many people don't know about the kick option. It's great

Yeah, if the hostage modes utilise more of the maps it would be fantastic. I want to be convinced that it's good but I'm probably going to end up playing Vegas 2 instead. Hooray for backwards compatibility I guess

You didn't play the beta I take it? That was your chance to see if it's good!

I'm a mainly terrorist hunt player and the beta a couple of months back convinced me the game was worth a buy. It's not so much about how spread out the AI get and how well the maps are used as how fucking well-designed the maps are themselves. The combat works best when you're in tight corridors and rooms with lots of overlapping line-of-sight lines, and then you use your breaching charges to the greatest effect the series has ever seen to blast through walls and open levels up.

If it's any consolation, the terrorists also use the destructibility. Maybe they aren't hid all over the map, but they will blow through walls to get you. I've even had them rappel up walls and burst through windows to get me. The AI is really great and the shootouts are dynamic + intense.

I'm really on the fence regarding this game. Got a couple of questions for those that already have it:

1. How much recoil do the guns have? Does it differ much per weapon type?
2. Does the game still have that gadget that let you see through walls?
3. What's the deal with the microtransactions? Are they just cosmetics or can you also unlock stuff with it?

Anyone else with gold edition season pass not working. Got a different copy code still not working the chance of two being bad should be improbable

1. A lot more than any other console shooter... in general they're a little more than Battlefield... it's different per weapon... the recoil, reloading, weapon ADS'ing and general handling is the best/most realistic on consoles this gen.

2. It does not. There IS one gadget that lets you see heartbeats in general "areas" within VERY close distances... think opposite side of a wall... there is also one that does the same but for enemy electronics. Both are "meh" tier and are often skipped for far more useful operators.

3. Microtrans are cosmetics or quicker unlocking of stuff... nothing (aside from cosmetics) walled off behind real money... its just for quicker acquisition of things.

Edit:
Hard to find an answer online: is terro hunt 30fps on consoles still?

Yes and it's a little jarring going back and forth honestly. But once you've played a few minutes of either your brain sort of settles down and compensates... you get used to it. The best is going from terro hunt back to multiplayer... ahhh, makes you really appreciate the 60fps!

Cool, thanks. I'm probably gonna buy the game tbh. How big is the game, filesize-wise?

Yah, I was really worried about the heartbeat sensor and I'm glad it was nerfed. It's really only useful if you're in a room with 2-3 other teammates who can cover you as you continually walk around checking the walls, ceiling, doors, etc.

Watched some twitch.

Game looks way better when people know what they are doing

Maybe I will give this game a chance after all

Same! I personally only find it useful for wall-banging people... you can tell where people are MUCH easier by listening or looking with your camera or for traps/boarded up windows etc. The sensor is very niche and only really "useful" if you want to plan a shot through the wall... can't even see all operators in one room now... which is cool.

Any info on the best place to get this one? I have a rocking PC that will easily max this at 60fps, but I don't want another battlefront situation where the PC community does in a week and tons are playing the console version.

I think a PC community is way more likely to build up around this than Battlefront.

Although uplay might kill it like it did Blacklist's PC community.

If you buy the booster packs from the store I believe the boosters last 24 hours in real time and not gameplay time.

Woah, let's not say things we can't take back. Pulse is great. Seeing those heartbeats up against breakable walls only to get shot as I unload into the wall while they're planting. Great for when attackers are repelling too. IQ is good too. Spots those ever popular door traps, C4 and her assault rifle is pretty good too. I will say I hope to see her ability a little more useful when we see what the remaining operators skills are.

Controversial and potentially problematic, but CD keys .com have it for a good price. That's where I got it.

I feel a bit dirty after reading this about sites like that. Probably isn't the case for CDkeys, who seem legit, but it's still worrying.

Idk... as an attacker we have 2 camera drones... it's much easier to just use one of them (heaven forbid you got yours shot in location phase) and get a more precise location on the enemies to shoot through the wall.

IQ isn't needed at all. It's just as easy to hear C4, blitz's electrified thing, and see laser trip indicators and other traps... really the most useless operator. ONLY redeeming factor is her Aug and LMG weapons.

I did play it but I'm not sure if it's got legs. I get that consoles aren't that powerful this gen but damn, imagine Calypso Casino with this level of destruction :(

Haven't really been following this closely, but I loved Vegas and the previous RB6 games. Is there an non objective vs mode in this? Like just regular DM/TDM?

I'm personally liking the 'quality over quantity' approach with this game. One small level in Siege is more flexible and dynamic than an entire Vegas level. Really cool shit goes down.

And, I hate to say it, but if you like Vegas that much, just keep playing that :( there'll never be another one, probably.

Loving the game so far. No issues with matchmaking (Central US, 6 matches of PVP). Even the situations are really fun on higher difficulties.

I echo this. No server issues and I have a bout 4 hours of playing in (US East). There was one round at the very beginning where only 1 guy on the enemy team spawned. Other than that, smooth sailing. Game is rad.

I ended up picking up a legit HyperX code on ebay for $25. I get to maintain my dignity!

Is there a heartbeat on attackers? Pulse is defending so I found him valuable once the cameras go down, which people are learning to make a priority.

Can you see the laser from the other side of walls? I know I stopped a few people from breaching because I spotted the trap and they didn't with IQ. I will admit I wish her skill was more useful.

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.

Anyone know where I can purchase this cheaper than $80 CAD? It's really expensive for an online only game; I really enjoyed playing the betas but $80 maaaaaaan.
