I just caved in and bought the four Mii Plaza games Nintendo released last year, so be prepared for them to go on sale tomorrow, everyone!

Guys, don't sleep on I and Me, it might look like shovelware but it really is a fun title. Just finished it up today and it's lovely. Nice music, interesting gameplay and even though it might not be too taxing, it really creates a nice soothing experience imo.

Not the greatest Metacritic score.

On that note of bad MetaCritic games that I really enjoyed: Has-Been Heroes. It's definitely NOT for everyone. If you want to learn a new game that's super deep, then I recommend it. It's a strategy rouge-like, I really haven't played anything like it before. It's really fun. It reminds me most of a tabletop board/card game where each time you play you have a new setup/loadout and you have to find a way to win with what you have... which is sometimes not super optimal but makes winning feel rewarding when you pull it off!

I loved Has-Been Heroes too. Hated Snake Pass. Everyone was telling me to pass on the former and get the latter. I did and disappointed I bought it.

Anyone received July's birthday coupon?
There's nothing in my email.

Already checked the Just for You offers in the Shop Menu. Also nothing.
https://ec.nintendo.com/

I received my coupon last year at 7/7 although my birthday is at the final week of July.

Isn't there already a Miitopia demo? This is a different one?

BTW Switch owners: there is a good website out there that reviews all the eShop Indies games. I've enjoyed reading this guy's reviews so far, and occasional videos and interviews: http://www.nindiespotlight.com/

Nintendo eShop (Switch)

De Mambo (DangerousKitchen) - €10.99/£9.99
De Mambo lets 1-4 players engage in Mambo Combat. Grab a Joy-Con and charge your one button and release at different times to do three different attacks! Knock your opponents off the screen and break the level however you decide (thanks to some flimsy architecture), to make your game marginally different each time you play.

Bulb Boy (Bulbware) - €7.99/£7.19
Bulb Boy is an intuitive 2D point & click horror adventure about a boy with a glowing head (alright, it's a bulb...). One gloomy night, Bulb Boy wakes suddenly from a frightening nightmare to discover that evil has overshadowed the Bulbhouse. His family has disappeared and there are horrid monsters lurking in the shadows. Gather the courage and use his glass head to save everything he loves.

Cars 3: Driven to Win (WB Games, available July 14) - €59.99/£49.99
Start your engines and gear up for the ultimate racing experience in Cars 3: Driven to Win inspired by Disney•Pixar's film, Cars 3. Play with over 20 customisable characters including Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, Cruz Ramirez and the next generation of racers on over 20 tracks set in iconic locations from the film such as Radiator Springs. Train and advance your abilities in 6 game modes and challenge your family and friends in the Battle Race to become the Ultimate Champion. On the road to becoming a Hall of Fame Driver, training and skill will give you an edge in a race that anyone can win.

ACA NEOGEO FATAL FURY SPECIAL (HAMSTER) - €6.99/£6.29
“FATAL FURY SPECIAL” is a fighting game released by SNK in 1993. FATAL FURY SPECIAL is a powered-up version of FATAL FURY 2 which brings a faster game speed, introduces combo attacks for the first time in the Series, and welcomes more returning characters for a total of 15 fighters. Clear the game with specific conditions and Ryo Sakazaki from ART OF FIGHTING will appear.

Death Squared (SMG Studio) - €12.50/£11.99
Death Squared is a cooperative puzzle game for 1, 2 or 4 players, best enjoyed with loved ones who don't mind a little arguing for the greater good. Prove your teamwork skills in Death Squared as you solve puzzles together or die trying! Each player needs to guide a robot to a colour-coded goal, but the path is beset with deadly traps and hazards. Teams of players will need close observation and communication to keep each other alive and discover a solution together.

Levels+ : Addictive Puzzle Game (flow) - €4.99/£4.99
Levels+ is an addictive puzzle game that you'll want to challenge over and over again. The rule is simple. Slide and match panels with the same colour and number to level up! The blue panel is your ally. It will get stronger as you level up. The red panel is your enemy and it will get in your way. Level up your blue panels to defeat your foe. The yellow panel is your treasure. Level it up to increase its wealth. It looks simple but you need to use your brain.

Asdivine Cross (KEMCO) - €9.99/£8.99
Bear the fate of light and shadow to save Asdivine in a grand fantasy RPG! Harvey, an outlaw of little importance, gets himself trapped deep in his kingdom's dungeons. While imprisoned he befriends a mysterious woman who claims to be the princess of the lands. Together the two begin an escape that spans far beyond jail bars. As both friends and enemies begin to surface, Harvey realizes that the world of Asdivine is anything but at peace. Between threats of war and angry Deities, Harvey and friends begin a series of quests that will determine the very fate of Asdivine...

Cursed Castila (Abylight) - €11.99/£11.79
The tears of a young witch have been turned into a key by a demon to open a gateway to hell. In Cursed Castilla, one takes the role of Don Ramiro, a knight appointed by King Alphonse VI, to fight and banish the evil invading the lands of Tolomera. Don Ramiro will face mouras, ojáncanos, nuberus and malismos: creatures from the European folklore, as well as from chivalric romances such as Amadís de Gaula. For that, one will use a different range of weapons to defeat the enemies, in a pure classic arcade action style.

My birthday was 5 days ago, and I didn't receive anything. My Nintendo gave me a few bonus platinum coins as a gift when I entered the site, but no email or discounts (mine is a US account).

Thanks for the link! I've been checking Nintendo Life every now and then, so this will be another source of info.

PPT is all I've been playing lately other than an occasional round of ARMS. It's so good.

I was new to Puyo Puyo and struggled with it at first, but getting the hang of it now and love everything about the game. Very charming story and presentation too.

Why does Europe get mad sales and NA never gets shit?

WTF? First Bomberman and now Puyo.

This week and last week are some excellent weeks for the Switch eShop. I haven't had the chance to buy any of the recent games yet, but Implosion, I and Me, and De Mambo (and maybe Bulb Boy) look very interesting to me. And next week we'll see a couple of great retail game releases (Splatoon 2, Fate/Extella, Minecraft Story Mode in the EU eShop). It's a busy Summer for us Switch owners!

I agree, all the posts about "There's nothing to play until Mario Odyssey" are really missing out on all the great stuff on the eShop. I agree, they may not be AAA big budget type of games that Nintendo publishes, but there is just some great Indie stuff that if you're not a PC/Steam gamer or don't already own a PS4/Xbox - we're seeing some great stuff.

I can agree if that if already are a PC/PS/Xbox gamer, then the eShop is seeing a lot of stuff you've seen before. You can make an argument that having that portable is worth seeing it again, but if you've only been a Nintendo gamer for the past year, it's new to us!

Gives all the fucks
Might as well try the Hey Pikmin demo, despite making use of the Amazon Prime Day glitch & being able to pre-order it for about $6.

Very true! And there's also a couple of Switch exclusive games among them, so even for those people it's worth checking out every now and then.

Bought Death Squared.

I don't know why I keep buying games like this. I want to play co-op games with my wife but she just gets frustrated when we lose. I bought Snipperclips and now this thinking she would enjoy it... she doesn't! She LOVES Puyo Puyo Tetris though. Oh well, at least my 9 year old daughter is enjoying Death Squared with me. It's not too tough for her at all. She will probably be my co-op partner instead of my wife.

Now this looks awesome and the kind of competitive game my wife would enjoy! I'm buying this!!

It is, the cool part about the demo is that they show you the first level and a level from quite a bit later. it really is just linear Pikmin from the side. Loved it.

Is there an incentive for replaying levels, like a collectible or time trial or anything? ^^

I'm PS4/Switch and there's lots of indie titles I never saw offered on PSN that are well suited to the Switch.

There's still Stardew Valley (that I didn't pick up on PS4 as I didn't expect to devote a lot of TV time to it), Thimbleweed Park (hopefully), and a bunch of other small titles that will easily hold me over till Mario.

Add in Virtual Console (maybe Fire Pro) and some video streaming Apps and my PS4 will fall into neglect.

So excited for Splatoon!

Haha, there's a new $70 eShop card. (Or, at least, a new $70 download code I just spotted at Best Buy's site.)
