Yes, TW3 is fine for newcomers but I highly suggest playing 2 beforehand if you can

If you play 2 do you get something to transfer to 3? That's my concern since I have 3 on PS4.
Not directly, but there's a part where you can choose the results of your W3 game, changing a few things, some significant.
Some things carry over but i never felt they made a BIG difference. Mostly bioware fluff stuff. Maybe i'm wrong though
The questionaire you get during the prologue is meant to replace the "big choices" but some smaller ones dont get asked but still change if you have a W2 save, though

I really want to play this game but I dont know where Im going to find 100 hours to actually beat it
took more than a year to beat base game + HoS and still havent beaten BaW (but still play a bit of it every week)
worth every minute
