For my younger brother's 18th b-day he plans to head to the famous brothel to lose his virginity. I was little surprised when he first told me, but now i'm really worried. I was really hoping that he would be willing to wait for someone. In addition, He's one of my closest friends. Anyway, i feel a little conflicted at the moment. As his brother, i'm surprised that this is the way he to lose his virginity. But as a friend, i'm shocked that he worked the nerve to ask my dad to take him there (which he is).

Should i really be worried GAF?

I've found that the mistakes in life are what we remember, not the perfections. He's not a little boy and if he thinks it's right then you should respect his wishes. It'll mean a lot to him even if you only pretend like you are respecting his wishes. Even though I wouldn't choose this path it might be the right or most enjoyable path for him. The girls must be pretty sexy, no?

Yeah, thats true. It's his life. Yes, from what i've seen on HBO, Cathouse: The Series, the girls are quite beautiful. Some of them work in porn.

EDIT: The dad thing is a little creepy to me in the sense that I wouldn't ever want to do such a thing near my dad (would pick a friend or a brother or go alone) but everybody is different I suppose.

What is there to be worried about. Seems like a perfectly fine, fun 18th birthday to me. It is just sex, just his virginity. What can your virginity get you? Nothing at all.

You can respect someone without agreeing with them.

@the OP since you are against his decision you should absolutely tell him and explain your reasons... but then tell him that you respect his desciion though and if he feels that this is the right thing to do that you won't stand in his way..

don't pretend to agree with him.. That can do more harm than good..

I don't see the problem here really. If you're going to learn about sex, you figure the best ones to teach would be the ones in the trade. Don't you think? The Bunny Ranch is safe and it's common that young men in that area go there to lose their virginity. Besides, why not be happy for him? I think every guy should be so lucky to have their first time with a woman who knows what the hell she's doing. He'll have a great time and probably will learn a lot while will help him in future relationships.

I was hoping that the act of losing his virginity would have more meaning to him. Like what was said earlier, he just wants to get it over with. Thats what kinda bothered with. Doing it with someone you care for and actually like seems to have much more meaning to it, as opposed to losing it to someone who has to **** a few other guys afterwards.

It's not that big a deal. A guy's virginity means very little. No need to put the cock on a pedastal like it's something scared. Sure, sex with someone you have feelings for has more meaning, but it doesn't always have to be like that.

Meh. Virginity to men generally doesn't mean anything. Just means they haven't had sex yet. That's about it. Nothing really compared to how it's viewed by women, which is probably changing just as quick. Just pat him on the back and let him do what he has to do like a good friend would. He's not bound by your feelings on the subject.

Anecdotal studies show that nobody jizzes in their pants buying drinks for some broad....so I'd say there's a good deal more pleasure in the sexual act than the pursuit of it.

Why are you worried? I think this is an awesome way to lose one's virginity. Wouldn't you rather he lose his virginity to a really hot woman instead of some whore of a girlfriend who will cheat on him and dump him after a year?
