It always seems that a gay woman telling a straight male who's hitting on her that she's a lesbian is like trying to put out a fire by throwing lighter fluid on it.
I'm not sure how "I prefer women" translates to "try harder" in these guys heads.

Anyway, I hope she succeeds, trying to start a company at 18 is admirable.

Nobody anticipates that someone is going to just be like that unless you are un-trusting and cautious of literally everyone just because on the off chance they may be an unprofessional idiot; which is a good way to be isolated.

Yeah, and asking her age and about her boyfriend, which is how he got to the sexuality question in the first place, was completely inappropriate. Too bad this is frustratingly common.
