I think it only works on Nvidia cards that support their specific game streaming stuff, but it lets you do it on phones instead of just Nvidia's Portable or tablet.

But yeah, it would be cool if Steam streaming worked on phones regardless of hardware setup

Still sucky it doesnt take you to the game community hubs to look at screenshots and forums or heck even broadcasts now. At the moment seems like a glorified shop with a messenger service. Even the store pages dont list user reviews.

Nice, I uninstalled it a while ago when I discovered how much of the battery it used. Glad to see they made some tweaks to that. I may have to reinstall it again.

Finally. The old app felt like it was a holdover from the Gingerbread era, this one at least looks more up to date with Android 4.x APIs and design principles (like the hamburger menu that's in a lot of Google's apps now).

Longer delay before going offline in chat when idle
Improvements for scrolling friends and chats
Added attempts to register for push notifications
Fixed: Sign out includes immediate log off from chat
Fixed: Crash on some devices running Android 4.2
Fixed: Some recent chat messages from other devices were not shown
Fixed: Sound for notifications inside and outside of the app is the same
Fixed: Some devices could not change ringtone

Added Community Market, Trading, Broadcasts, Game Hubs, Discussions, and more to the app. The profile views have been updated with showcases, badges, and more. The Store views have also been updated with new personalization features and user reviews. The new Support site can also be accessed from the app for help with your Steam account and games.
