I honestly will be surprised if there's any PS3 or Wii titles (maybe Zelda) in the top 10 due to the limited quantities available. I expect more 360, DS and PS2 titles. I think NFS will do better (sadly) based on the past few Christmas'.

I don't see a single PS3 title in the top twenty, personally. Too few systems that will hit the region this year. PS2, X360, DS, and Wii will take the top twenty.

Resistance will hit the top 20 barring < 1M PS3's hitting the US. It's going to be the launch title and should easily hit 600k Nov/Dec.

I'd be surprised if it makes it's way into the top twenty, but anything is possible. I just forsee really awful shortages of PS3 units...and, coupled with the late release time and competition from more affordable X360 and Wii with their own list of big titles, PS3 software just won't sell spectacularly well by comparison in the same timeframe.

Yours is even crazier. Though if that was true, I would be very happy.

I made an edit. I think it is slightly better. I wasn't sure if I should switch the Wii and Gamecube version of Twillight Princess or not though. Also, the numbers will be way off.

I didn't want to put PC games in, because first of all we don't actually get their numbers, and second of all I really don't know how well an normal PC game sells like Civilization 4 or Age of Empires 3.

But its not a FPS, and by the end of the year, the install base of X360 in the US should be less than 5m units. If GoW sell less than 1m units, it wont make top 5.

Well, I said around 1.4 million, but I'm starting to think that .9 million would be more accurate. If the 360 has 4 million installed base in the US by the time it comes out, which it most likely won't. 1.4 million is over 1/3 of 360 owners, and I doubt that is going to happen.

If the game gets an average of eights in reviews, I fully expect it to sell well past 1.5 mill just in the US by end of December...assuming it releases by early November.

GoW will sell. MS will definitely market it in place of Halo this fall. It's an FPS from Epic on a console without a Halo to call its own, of course it'll sell.

That largely depends on when Microsoft releases it. We don't know the release date yet. If it's in October as that date on XBox.com briefly indicated, then it will do more than if it releases in December. (der)

That said, I think 1.5-2m this year is likely. The 360 userbase will expand dramatically over the holidays (probably 2m units from Oct-Dec), and this is *the* game that MS is hyping for the season.
