I'm most impressed by how perfectly spot on the music is, sounds straight out of an old Tom & Jerry cartoon

That mostly due to the short borrowing a lot of sound & music samples from 1940's Warner Bros & MGM theatrical shorts.

That was neat. It's like a cross between Broken Down Film and Duck Amuck. (Note: Broken Down Film gets the title gags out of the way after the first minute, I promise.)

Yeah, Broken Down Film was my first thought too.

Although Tezuka was strongly influenced by American animation himself, so it's all the same.

lol, that reptile dude was getting it just like in an old short. Good stuff. Had some real Duck Amuck vibes, I was waiting for the reptile dude to just snap at the end.
