This week's Japan mag news

The amusing thing about Deltora Quest is that since there two more book series in the universe, Bamco can milk out some sequels without making any filler. Although I just noticed that the 3rd book series is about 'lol find the dragons'; so we have an instantly shitty 3rd game.

Kow Otani is doing the music for the anime, I hope Bamco are smart enough to get him to do the game's music. That would be the only thing guaranteed to not suck.

I mean, Bamco could cop out and get Sakuraba to do the music, but that would be fail on their part.

Damn it sp0rsk, you had me freakin' out there for a minute. It says he's doing the music for the anime, still unknown about the game.

Jeanne = 10 = Level-5 AWESOME! :D

Hahaha, it seems that Shinjuku Wolf game is developed by Ysk Inc and not Capcom. Outsourced crap. :lol

Ysk Inc are the guys behind games like Kenka Bancho 2 and Growlanser V.

Capcom does Yakuza:
PS2 Shinjuku Wolf
Damn gamefront said Shinjuku no Okami and I was like what the hell!!??

Still surprising to see PS2 projects (although not very big, quite more than PS3 announcements lol).

Bandai's new anime DS game...er...KOW OTANI...wtf are you doing there! T_T

Hey, Kenka Bancho was a great game (looking forward to the sequel, as well), and they were also the guys behind the revival of Fire Pro Wrestling through FP Returns. So, I think they have what it takes to make a great game, no matter which publishing label they're working for.

Even so, I have to say that I'm still looking forward to Ysk's other game in this genre, Kenka Bancho 2 at least some what more than this. KB2 just seems to carry on the Downtown Nekketsu (River City Ransom) vibe more than this new game and both of the Yakuza's combined, and it just seems to be a bit more interesting overall.

Not to say that I still won't look into this game if I get the chance... :D

Still, I gotta love what seems to be a re-vitalized trend for Capcom...when some one is doing something that is giving them reasonable success and/or warrants a sequel...they MUST put their own type of product in the same vein out there too! It would certainly explain Sengoku Basara/Devil Kings, and now it seems they want to get their hands into something else...

Neo and duck, What the reviewers said about Jeanne D'arc (especially the 7 one).
http://game10.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/handygame/1163170628/433
some of the comments
- nice game balance
- system is easy to learn
- cool combo chain system in the battle
- unique graphic
- even people who are weak at SRPG can also enjoy the game easily
- short loading time, don't feel any stress
- user friendly interface
- 2D animation and 3D graphic cannot be perfectly matched

overall 4 reviewers' comments are quite good
no idea why there is a "7"

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Heroes of Mana looks like it plays similar to Lost Magic.

I liked LM, but it was a bit broken and way too hard.
I hope they fix all those issues, because HoM could be a lot of fun.

'i tried to put Jeanne D'arc in my DS Lite, but for some reason it did not work. Level 5 should be more strict with their quality control. 7.'

this makes me more and more want to cancel my wii pre-order and get a DS and a stack of imported titles instead...

... I just read on Jeux-France (here) that the game was about the Pendan war... Pedan, probably. It pretty much confirms that HoM is a prequel to SD3, and the world map looks the same... couldn't be happier.
