Every year, the NeoMOD nominees represent a select list of the best wielders of ban hammers and post editing, as voted on by the members of GAF, that floating population of trolls, miscreants and ne'er do wells that once a year melts down the boards with 404's, megatons and bitter tears. Just like the traveling court of a medieval ruler, celebrates all that is good and great in this usually dispersed kingdom of like-minded souls.

But as in all such awards, and in as in so many stories and threads, though the nominees represent the best in moderation excellence, only one can win. Tonight, we will put our nominees into caged death matches from which only one will emerge alive … oh, actually that’s been crossed out, apparently we already know who’s won from the voting … anyway, tonight we award the winners of the 2011 NeoMOD awards and we celebrate all the nominees.

So once again welcome to the 2011 NeoMOD Awards, and without further ado, let us begin.

If Amir0x was still in there, I'd be hard pressed to not include him really. Stump is one of my favorites also, as is Kev and with a name like Shouta im sure I'd like him if I had more interaction with him.

My three choices reflect the people whom I have most in common with and who's posts are most relevant to my interests.

Bish is just cool as fuck. And Canadian.

Stump is a gentleman. Also Canadian.

Evil owns us all and doesn't let it go to his head. Very fair and not an arrogant prick. Probably wishes he was Canadian.

Honorable mention to Y2Kev. Yakuza avatar. If he ever changes his avatar I reserve the right to withdraw my honorable mention.

both are the only mods I've ever really had any back and forth banter with or gotten to know other than just seeing them post in other threads, be it through continued discussion in a thread or community.

EatChildren: Both the mod ausgaf needs and deserves, EatChildren is very active in our community and always friendly towards the members of AusGaf where I frequent.

EviLore: gets into the GSL and other live starcraft events when he has time and other than AusGaf this is where I spend most of my neogaf time, so I guess yeah, good to banter with, and gave me my name change :)

duckroll = He is part of the PC Master Race and in his comments he usually says what he sees, no downplaying how he feels. He also takes care of those strange Japanese games threads which are crazy things.

Y2Kev = Master troll, he is a zany mod.


Also a good shout to Nirolak aka "New threads for new news"

Stump because he's very level-headed and reasonable, without being super stern.

Nirolak because he has a cool avatar and always updates news threads

and Tekno because he's the resident hipster at HoN GAF.

Blackace is a really cool dude, is the only mod I know who visits the Hiphop thread. Stumpokapow, Opiate and charlequin always bring awesome discussions and viewpoints. Also have mad love for crazy Nirolak, GAF's official detective.

I think all mods should win. Its hard to choose one because they are all so good. Second, i think the system administrators deserve a very honorable mention for making all of this possible.
