Nintendo Fall 2011 Conference Game List

I did this for that closed thread, so I'm taking Stump's advice.

Their conference lineup really was amazing when all laid out, it was like the inverse of this past E3. Tons of diversity, tons of surefire sellers (in Japan at least), tons of major 3rd party commitments, just tons of stuff in general. In terms of games that were actually highlighted, we got:

Wii
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Nintendo)
Dragon Quest Collection (Square Enix)
Just Dance Wii (Nintendo x Ubisoft)
Go Vacation (Namco Bandai)
Taiko Drum Master Wii Ketteiban (Namco Bandai)
Kirby's Return to Dreamland (Nintendo x HAL)
Fortune Street (Square Enix)
Mario & Sonic and the London 2012 Olympic Games (Nintendo x Sega)
PokePark 2 BW: Beyond the World (Nintendo x Creatures)

DSiWare
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition (Nintendo x Grezzo)

Nintendo 3DS
Super Mario 3D Land (Nintendo)
Mario Kart 7 (Nintendo)
Mario Tennis (Nintendo x Camelot)
Paper Mario (Nintendo x Intelligent Systems)
Luigi's Mansion 2 (Nintendo x Next Level Games)
Mario & Sonic and the London 2012 Olympic Games (Nintendo x Sega)
Animal Crossing (Nintendo)
Tomodachi Collection (Nintendo)
Style Savvy (Nintendo x syn Sophia)
Colchobit (Nintendo x Paritybit)
Culdcept (Nintendo x Omiya Soft)
Shinrei Camera (Nintendo x Tecmo Koei)
Fire Emblem (Nintendo x Intelligent Systems)
Dynasty Warriors VS (Tecmo Koei x Omega Force)
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (Square Enix x Matrix Software)
SD Gundam G Generation 3D (Namco Bandai x Level 5)
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai (Sega)
Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom)
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy (Namco Bandai x Project Aces)
Tekken 3D Prime Edition (Namco Bandai)
Theatrythm Final Fantasy (Square Enix x indieszero)
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 2 (Square Enix x Tose Software)
Girls RPG Cinderlife (Level 5)
New Love Plus (Konami x Love Plus Productions)
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D (Konami x Kojima Productions)
Kid Icarus: Uprising (Nintendo x Project Sora)
Monster Hunter 3 ~tri G (Capcom)
Monster Hunter 4 (Capcom)

Plus Nintendo's official conference coverage included even more 3DS games (Beyond the Labyrinth, PES2012, Rhythm Thief, Sonic Generations, Nature Encyclopedia 3D).

I'm eager to see what titles might've slipped through the cracks and show at TGS. Iwata also mentioned Level 5 has a lot of titles which should be shown at their own Vision even.

There was a soccer game announced resembling sensible soccer. Anyone know which game that was and who the developer is? It looked really fun.

Regarding 3DS I'm mostly just excited about the Ambassador GBA lineup and future 3D Classics (still waiting for a good game).

I looked at the Wii list being populated by more than one game, and my heart began to beat faster. Then as I read the list it sank.

I'm hoping those Castlevania and Contra 3DS rumours turn out to be true and that they get announced/shown during the next couple of days. Regardless, great line-up there, especially when considering the sales potential (in Japan).

Calchobit. It's a sequel to a GBA game, from a pretty well regarded sim developer in Japan (Paritybit). They also make the Derby Stallion games.

Will QA for food.
It's a great 3DS list for the next year. People will complain about Nintendo rehashing IPs, but that's what this industry is, and Nintendo is great at playing up their own franchises.

No new Nintendo 64 ports announced, which should be a relief to the legions clamoring about the 3DS having nothing, but fifteen year old games on it.

Depending on what localization decisions are made, the lineup for North America could range from good to amazing. If missing Hikari to Kage no Eiyū was just a one time affair, and we receive this brand new Fire Emblem, then I will be over joyed.

Out of the newly announced 3DS games, I want just 3.
And 2 have little chance of being localized...... :cries:

Hopefully good Vita news pops up tonight.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Its a great list, but I really wish a new Castlevania was announced.
I mean, it's just a bunch of Nintendo games, which are good.
And then mostly sequels, or iterations.

I thought it was Rocket Slime 3?

But yeah, I see about 10 games there that I plan on getting. Add Kingdom Hearts 3D and whatever Level 5's shows later this week, and the lineup is looking great.

I still want Majora's Mask and F-Zero X. And I'd take Mario 64 again too honestly.

He said it right before introducing Girls RPG. I'm guessing they'll have a ton on Inazuma Go and Fantasy Life since they're closest to launch. Maybe new trailers for Time Travelers and Layton V Phoenix, and hopefully a new game announcement or two (Ninokuni II?).

Technically there were two L5 games at the event though, since it seems G Generation 3D is their Gundam Age title? That seemed a little unclear?

I'm puzzled as to why Level 5 shown Girl's RPG and nothing else (I know they have their own show but why show anything at Nintendo's conference?). Does Nintendo have a particular interest in this game over Level-5's other franchises? I'm probably over analysing things.

I have such a love/hate feeling over these shows. On the one hand it's exciting to see what is upcoming, but on the other hand I realise that I'll probably have to wait half a year to play most of these games...

It's a good list but nothing less than expected for a console with such a strong predecessor. If Nintendo hadn't got a nice list of games to release for the 3DS you'd have to wonder what they were thinking releasing it at all.

Monster Hunter 4 is the bombshell I think, that is if they keep it exclusive.

There's a number of Nintendo 64 titles I'd love to see given the StarFox 64 treatment on the 3DS (Tetrisphere, please), but it's a point of criticism for many people about the console. Maybe once there's new and unique software out, remakes of older titles will not be frowned upon as much.

Just reading over the list again.

Man, whatever happened to new IPs?
Vita will be the mostly the same.

I think it fits into their theme of wanting to expand out and draw more female audience (along with Freind Collection, Girls Mode, Pink 3DS, etc) plus it's probably the next L5 game that will release on 3DS.

Iwata mentioned specifically that Level-5 had a lot of 3DS games in the works and they'd be talking about that at their own conference. Don't be surprised if it's the same story at SCEJ's conference tonight.

Honest question: Why did you buy the 3DS? If you can't get excited over the Nintendo franchises, I honestly don't know why you thought it would be a good idea to buy one.

What's wrong with the DS version...? It would be really cool to play it with better graphics and much better controls.

It's not what I get Nostalgic for. Most games they ported were straight up ports, the one game that should have been a direct port and they screwed it up.

Fantastical

Really looking forward to the Layton vs Wright thing at TGS. That is my most wanted 3DS game. Level 5 is bringing some great looking games to the platform, and most of those weren't even shown at the event, so that makes me even more optimistic about the system's future.

So, is it safe to assume that the Fatal Frame 2 remake has been moved to Wii U?

It was announced at the Fall Conference last year, so it's absence is a bit worrying...

Oh I already have Zelda 64 and will be getting Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 on day one. I'm just saying I'm even more excited about the possibilities of Virtual Console games and 3D Classics series (which have both been extremely disappointing so far).

Something totally new and unexpected.

Give them time. When you have to save a system no matter what you don't bet on new IPs. Don't get me wrong: I'm the first who want to see new stuff, but I also understand that right now it's not the moment.

Anytime is the moment, especially now. People know what to expect from Nintendo and it did not get them excited, yet. Maybe a new IP could attract a new audience.

Nice list for the 3DS. The 3DS had such a big drought. I'm glad to see Super Mario 3D and Mario Kart 7 coming out this year. Was hoping Kid Icarus would come out but I kind of expected it to be delayed.

I'm sure they were, ahem, throwing female's a bone to go along with the pink 3DS.
