SEGA needs to make more Sonic and Mario sports games. Wonder what they can call the new one for the WiiU?

Is the Skyrim download code that comes with the Forza 250GB bundle counted as a unit in this, given that it's a download? Either way it's impressive how well Skyrim has kept selling this year.

I'd love to know where Pokemon Black / White would have landed on the chart if their numbers were included together. Kinda sucks that they are listed after "Moshi Monsters", whatever they are.

XIII-2 is probably the biggest bomb of the year, even stuff like Rayman and Sniper Elite outsold it.

This is the first thing that hit me.

Lego:lotr sold more, but released November?

God damn.

That being said, I purchased FFXIII-2, and wish I hadn't.

5. Hitman Absolution
7. Far Cry 3

9. Skyrim

OK, Skyrim is a 2011 title but still. I'd never have expected both titles in a sales top 10 of the year. Not mainstream enough.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Considering we know Nintendoland is around 50k, this means all those titles in top 100 did higher than 50k.

Being a multiplatform chart isn't as helpful as it would have been as an individual chart, but still...better than nothing.

WiiU software missing in action. Pokemon's fairly disappointing too given it's a DS release.

A+ for British spelling of Dishonoured
27. Forza Motorsport 4
37. Forza Horizon
Insanity that Microsoft is pushing Forza 4 as hard as they are. I suppose it's good for the brand overall but I'd expect these to be the other way around. It's almost like they don't care about Forza Horizon.
59. Diablo III
Also shocking, given it's success in Germany (and I assume the whole mainland?)
80. uDraw Instant Artist
lmao this can chart purely by selling at £5 in stock clearance sales
Edit: No X-COM?!!!! Come on fellow Brits....sort it out!
That is a damn shame... judging Diablo they're certainly not buying it on PC.

Nice to see Far Cry and Hitman up there.

Hitman had a huge marketing/advertising push here, so little surprise.

FIFA really is a juggernaut.

You should get some more numbers from past PAL Charts threads. I can't be arsed and you're better at it than me. :p

Would fill out the chart nicely.

hitman isn't that much of a surprise, it was heavily discounted within a couple of weeks of release and heavily advertised. far cry 3 is a surprise though, I haven't seen a single ad and it only really dropped in price a week before christmas.

Hmm, I thought UK loved racing games, and they ignore such a gem like this.

Those of my friends who did play it were disappointed with the size of the map, hated the party atmosphere and the lack of cars. Oh, and the apparently 'arcadey' physics. Only anecdotal, of course.

No X-Com is just disgraceful.

It hasn't been discounted much yet.

Only came out mid-november and it's hardly the sort of game to sell gangbusters day one. Steady sales over time will be where that makes its sales.
It's not really the sort of game I can see selling outside of Christmas. It has already vanished from UK chart in week one.

At first I was quite glad to see Hitman Absolute in fifth place, but then I remembered that the game went down to 25 pounds after like one week, and then it went further down to 20 pounds and was at 17.99 during lightning deals. Still, I hope the best for the developers.

As if the UK wasn't battling enough accusations of having bad taste, they had to go ahead and make the latest Hitman a top 5 seller.

Sniper Elite's a good game!

Wish SSX was a little higher. No place for PS All Stars either, oh dear. No X-COM really sucks too, hopefully it did better in the US?

UK has poor taste in games, just like the US.

Even if Sniper Elite was the game of the year, it's still proof of a bomb. Final Fantasy is an enormous franchise that has been around for a long time. Sniper Elite is a relatively unknown franchise with little advertising. I also assume FFXIII-2 has a way bigger budget. Those CG-cutscenes are amazing. I wonder if Square-Enix made a profit on XIII-2.
