will listen for the lols, do game announcements ever come from these things?
Very rarely, though there is usually some new information about Blizzard's upcoming plans for World of Warcraft or how it is currently performing.

World of Warcraft Patch 5.4 coming in the next weeks. He's also talking a bit about Titan (unlikely to be subcription model).

What happened to Bobby? In the beginning of the call he sounded quite up and at em. Now he sounds drunk.

Make it LoL style with microtransactions that don't affect gameplay. Don't think they can risk a RMAH with this, but if they do, restrict it to commodities and such. I think people could get behind that.

Is 12M shipments for Diablo 3 a new update?

2M in 6 months seems pretty good for a dead game.

12 million sounds a little on the low end, actually. An infographic from Blizzard in May said that 14.5 million unique players have played so far.

They also provided statistics back in March that a million unique players still log in daily. That's far from a dead game.

I want to hear more about how Activision will manage debt repayments for the next few fiscal years in the conference call.

14.5M probably counts people playing the starter edition.

EDIT: Or maybe this 12M doesn't count the annual pass people who got D3 for free with their WoW sub. I think over 1M gamers took advantage of that.
