They mentioned in a polygon article that they are going to avoid the dude bro stuff from 3 as well. I just hope the writing is up to scratch in 4. Gameplay will be great though.

GAF why is there almost no hype for FC4 ?
It looks like the best far cry so far. It has sandbox Co-op, MP map editor that now includes also SP missions editor ! Vehicles are returning to multiplayer...
And looks like the first solid port of far cry on consoles.

Awesome video, thanks for posting that. I would assume the hype isn't there because it is still a few months out. Once we get closer I'm sure anticipation will start to build for a fair number of people. After Far Cry 3 this is easily my most anticipated game of the year. The game looks absolutely gorgeous as well.
I kinda wish the gameplay is more like FC2 ( sure its less fluid but it makes the game more... fun, to me anyway)
Hoping things like the minimap is disabled, weapon degradation is back ( PLS) and stealth isn't so easy and broken.
IT looks like it plays too much like FC3 so I probably will wait for a sale. Like how you are this crazy man who can run through bullets and take out 2 or 3 guys with your knife, like you are basically an movie action hero, meh.
Also hope the crafting is somewhat fixed, way too easy to become OP early on.
(Yes I am one of the few who loved FC2)
In FC2 fighting 1 enemy was a bit of a challenge, FC3, and 4 from the looks of it, even against 6 it doesn't look hard.
Basically the game looks too easy.

When does the game come out? I think this will be the first farcry I buy. The antagonist just has too much aura for me to not know more about him.

there wasn't much hype for far cry 3 either iirc? or maybe i just wasn't paying attention. but i thought that game sold off word of mouth. think the lack of hype this time around is probably due to other established franchises looking like they are shaking things up a bit (i.e. Assassins and COD seem like they are trying extra hard this year) while FC4 kind of looks same-y

The more i see this game, the more i wonder why would you wanna get it if you played fc3 already, unless you want more fc3.

Well, my main takeaway from the video is how disgusting and barbaric animal sacrifice is.
Ubi needs to delay something, otherwise FC4 won't sell as well as it could. November is way to crowded. They're releasing their 4 biggest games within 2 weeks of each other. This comes out the same day as GTAV, Halo MCC, etc. while December is looking a bit empty.
