Apparently, the next Bond flick is a month away from production — with director Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris all returning from Skyfall — and no Bond flick is complete without a Bond girl. To fill that shapely void, Mendes has drafted Blue is the Warmest Color's Léa Seydoux.

Hopefully she has a meatier part than Severine, who was so wasted. I do like her though, so I approve.

Also, Hoyte Van Hoytema is the cinematographer this time and they start shooting on December 6. Shooting in Austria, Morocco, and Italy (again for the third time in Craig's run).

I'm.....okay with this?

I just hope they can make something as good as casino royale. I skipped QoS, and thought skyfall had some good to it but it just wasn't nearly as good as casino royale.

I'm still not over the sting of Skyfall's utter disappointment. Hopefully this will be the film that breaks the streak of each of Craig's Bond outings being worse than the previous.

You seriously thought Skyfall was worse than Quatum of Solace? Okay.

Yep absolutely in about every single way outside of cinematography. The first two Craig films broke new ground and established a new direction for the series....and then Skyfall rolled back out the old formula and tropes. They completely bungled what should have been the most impactful death in the series outside Tracey and Vesper too. It's telling when Mathis' death, who was a secondary character in all of two films, is much more poignant and affecting than M's.

Hopefully she is the "Bond Girl who has an almost believable love story with 007 and stay around the whole movie" and not "Bond Girl James bones and then she dies". Can't be worse than that time Bond fucked and killed a sex slave with a pithy remark afterwards.

Seydoux has a pretty impressive resume for 29. Already worked with Tarantino, Ridley Scott, Brad Bird, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen...but in everything from hugely successful blockbusters like Ghost Protocol to Palme D'or winning foreign movies with heaps of accolades. Ego probably Kanye size, nobody can tell her nothing.

Wait....there are people that think Skyfall was bad?

I mean yea it isn't the best Bond movie but it was better than the snoozefest Quantum of Solace. Hell, Casino Royale's parkour scene was more interesting than all of Quantum.

She is terrific in Blue is the Warmest Colour... too terrific... it's difficult to see her in another role without those 'scenes' coming to mind. Though she is definitely suited for Bond.

Every film that gets popular eventually gets backlash.
