I know the title sounds stupid, but that's the title Russian gov. news agency chose to run with: http://en.itar-tass.com/world/759835 in the wake of the Bellingcat report - Origin of the Separatists’ Buk: A Bellingcat Investigation

Channel One is of course their state tv: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_One_Russia

First, the Boeing came under gun fire and then the cockpit was hit by an air-to-air missile, its right engine and the right wing were hit by a heat-seeking missile

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russia’s television Channel One said on Friday it had a photo presumably made by a foreign spy satellite in the last seconds of Malaysia’s MH17 flight over Ukraine.
Channel One showed Ivan Andriyevsky, the first vice president of the Russian Union of Engineers, demonstrating a photo sent by a George Beatle, who had introduced himself as an air traffic controller with a 20-year working record.

According to Beatle, the Malaysian Boeing was shot down by a fighter jet that followed it. First, the Boeing came under gun fire and then the cockpit was hit by an air-to-air missile, its right engine and the right wing were hit by a heat-seeking missile.
The e-mail had an enclosed snapshot of a missile launch from under the fighter’s left wing directed right at the Boeing cockpit.
“We see a space shot made from a low orbit. Such photo shots are typically made in air and ground surveillance purposes,” Andriyevsky said. “Coordinates on the photo hint that it was made by an American or a British satellite. We have thoroughly analyzed this photo to find no signs of fake.”
The Boeing 777-200 of the Malaysia Airlines en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed on July 17 in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk Region, some 60 km (over 37 miles) from the Russian border, in the zone of combat operations between the Donetsk self-defense forces and the Ukrainian army. All the passengers and crewmembers onboard the aircraft - 298 people - died. Most of the passengers - 196 people - were Dutch citizens.

On why this may be fake:
Writing (airline brand) on the plane in the Russian video:

Malaysia air branding:

Or here in a video:

Note the discrepancy in the positioning of the branding (relative to the wing).
Also note that the branding in Russian video is eerily reminiscent of the Boing branding, as seen here:

(apparently said pic is also the first result for "boeing top view"....)

As for the fighter jet:
@AthertonKD
L: blurry image of fighter Russia says shot MH-17. R: Su-25 outline, which Russia says shot MH-17
not even consistent

As for the imagery:
@Brown_Moses Looks like at least some of the Russian's MH17 sat image is from a 2012 Google Earth file
iI6kLvh.jpg

@Brown_MosesFor those looking for this, go to Google Earth, go to 47°57'12.22"N, 37°50'4.09" set historical imagery to 28/08/2012

Also:
@Brown_Moses "George Bilt" claims the #MH17 attack was from 400m away, the sat image shows the jet firing 50km away

And last but not least: Space Nazis...

Too bad most people over there will never know about this, because they just saw the "truth" on the TV.

Why couldn't they go with a more believable story, like the space nazis? Or just claim the Ukrainian army accidentally shot it down, like in 2001.

Nice try, Russia. Please tell me with photographic proof of all the other findings you have that may help solve the burning mysteries of our time.

Between this and FIFA clearing themselves, I'm so glad we're getting to the bottom of the truly unsolvable mysteries.

The goal of the Russians is not to create a plausible scenario, they simply throw as much crap out there as possible until the truth that their proxies shot down an airliner is just one of dozens of theories.

Too bad most people over there will never know about this, because they just saw the "truth" on the TV.

This is definitely primarily directed at their "inner market" since RT is still silent about it (and probably to remain silent now). Russian media is apparently riding that dick (of course since the vast majority of it is state controlled):

That Boeing stock pic in better res:

That letter by Ringo Star, erm, George Beatle:

Incredibly disrespectful to the victims.

According to their own imagery as well the SU-25 would have scored its machine gun hits from over 50 kilometers away. Then post a letter as proof that states from 400 meters away even as the letter mocks them

Haha ooh Russia, they are just such a fun bunch of lunatics... :-(

imagine if they one day became good at Photoshop

Eh that Airfighter in in the picture is exactly same as they claim it to be: Mig-29.

MH17 branding is where it should be. The logo begins right after the wing. MH17 branding

Now I do not deny the possibility of the faux claims, but this is pure pulling at straws right here in the quote.

The wing sweep of the two fighters shown is completely different.

Russia Stated from Day 1 it was a Ukrainian SU-25 that shot the plane down even while all technical data etc proves it was impossible. Now suddenly they claim its a Mig with amazing guns that can shoot 50km etc

Clearly fake. The Malaysian Airlines graphic is over the wings in the offical photos. The Russian "proof" have their graphic just forward of the wing.

Nice try, Vlad.

Is the US State dept evidence still social media sourced? Guess we'll have to wait for the investigation to conclude in August 2015

except it was like that on MH17. It's exactly where it should be :O

Eagerly waiting for someone to defend this fake.

Well, they kind of tried to fart around:
Why couldn't they go with a more believable story, like the space nazis? Or just claim the Ukrainian army accidentally shot it down, like in 2001.
(read the bellingcat report)
So is it better or worse than Kiev's image cropped from a video game?
(what does it have to do with mh17?)

But there you go:
Eh that Airfighter in in the picture is exactly same as they claim it to be: Mig-29.

MH17 branding is where it should be. The logo begins right after the wing. MH17 branding

Tovarich, please go to sleep and don't embarrass yourself. Fuck off with that shitty pic (the only one from a perspective which makes it look like the branding fits, the one being pushed by Putin bots, see discussion here)
Here's the last pic taken before the crash by one of the victims (RIP):

You done now?

I would wager it's the opposite: the person making it probably could do a convincing job, but doesn't want to. Assuming that's the case, I also feel that simply saying this I've put a life at risk.

the article is still repulsive though. Also: at that scale the fighter jet would have personally torpedoed the airliner.

I'm pretty sure whoever they hired to make this ripped them off. I could do a better job. I'd at least get the logo in the right place, jeez.

I simply do not understand why Russia continues to piss off the European countries. Until 2013, it seemed like the Russian-European relations were better than ever before.

And now we're at a point where:

- Ukraine is basically at war (thanks to Russian supported separatists)
- A civilian airliner has been downed (thanks to the conflict in Ukraine)
- European sanctions continue to get more severe
- Russian sanctions continue to get more severe
- A drastic increase of Russian troops in West-Russia
- A drastic increase of NATO troops in East-Europe
- Russia announcing to not participate in the Nuclear Safety Summit of 2016
- A heavy increase of both anti-Russian and anti-Western propaganda
- etc.

ok, this is obvious fake.
but who do they want to blame with this?

Ukraine. Russia is still trying to paint them as aggressors, when it is Russia that is executing a long-planned invasion. Most likely they're trying to paint this as some sort of false flag operation.

Anyway, this fake is just another in a long line of insults to those innocents who lost their lives as what is presumably an unintended consequence of Russia's imperialism.

I looked at the alleged mh17 pic again:
olhC1C2.jpg

(at the bottom in http://www.1tv.ru/news/leontiev/271824 )
Note that:
1) the left wing is more reclined than the right one (also note the skewed turbine). Why?
Because the original has this blue colored area near the fuselage on the left wing, so the person photoshoping apparently changed the wing's angle (indicated by arrow).
and 2) the encircled area is still slightly visible in the alleged mh17 pic..

More that theyre dissatisfied by their receding power over their former area of influence. The 'independence movements' and support for Russian ethnic groups are simply ways of punishing those countries.
