I wouldn't have a problem with the current arc if it wasn't THE ONLY THING HAPPENING. There are like 10 plot lines and you focus on this one that could've easily been at the end, without shifting to any of the other ones at all. I sometimes wonder if Isayama knows what he is doing.
definitely interested. This might be one of those series that works better as several movies. Unlike Berserk which would work better as a really well animated tv show vs movies since so much shit had to be cut from the films, this actually works because so little happens and they can focus on making the best of it instead of forcing a longer pace.
Honestly I'm afraid how people are going to react to a new season of AoT whenever it comes out. The new stuff has been meh so far besides the (manga spoilers)
fight between Eren and Mikasa vs the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan. Also Eren showing his voice controlling powers. That was pretty sweet
I genuinely think he doesn't. I understand that they want this to be the new Naruto/Bleach since those are ending [?]. But I don't think that not getting shit done to pad out the length is the wrong way to do it.

I know that, but I recall somebody talking about how shonen people in general wanted this to be the next big thing, and that's why they were pushing it so hard. Didn't a crapload of studios work together to make the anime? Like I said I've heard nothing but rumors.

Man, it's like he gets the shit end of a stick when it comes to bans, because I'm just rolling my eyes at how it's considered bannable (considering other factors).
The small town vibe is great. Of course getting my Right Stuf orders with free economy shipping in just two days isn't bad at all either. This is the biggest reason why I don't order anime from Amazon, even if the prices are occasionally somewhat cheaper.
There's still quite a gulf between Titan and One Piece, the series sales in 2013 are an indication of a slower year for One Piece (it's mostly the volumes which were released that year selling, while there isn't a big new audience pick up for the back catalog since nothing "major" happened in the story to get public attention) and a new peak for Titan (the anime brought it tons of extra attention, and as you can see all the previous volumes sold over a million in the year).
But there's still no question that Titan is now the second most popular manga in Japan, and the individual volume sales show it is far more popular than Naruto and Bleach.
Yeah, I don't think it can catch One Piece because it's a different level in terms of cultural phenomenon. But it's getting closer to it than any other manga ever.
Current arc in Bleach is better than Attack on Titan for me since the current arc for SnK has gone nowhere when their are like many questions that haven't been answered.
I usually hate shoujos but seeing Kimi Ni Todoke almost in the top 10 is great. One of the few that I actually read and am current on. Definitely deserves the sales and needs a season 3.
Damn Gon you really don't give a fuck no more. This episode was great and I'm loving the emotions that are being transmitted by the royal guards. And seeing the backstory of how deadly that nuke is was cool. But really I want to read the manga to know happens next so bad, but I guess I just have to wait.
Goddamn it I really want to see Gon's and Neferpitou's fight.
