Anybody else's PS4 Trophies not syncing with PSN (Error NP-32157-8)?

So it's been about a week that my PS4 Trophies stopped syncing, they always get to 30-50% before it crashes with Error #NP-32157-8. I did some googling but all I could find was a post that said to boot into safe mode and rebuild the database. I tried that to no avail.

Another post said to try and unlock another trophy in that game to see if the bug would fix itself but that hasn't worked either.

Anybody else experiencing this?

EDIT - Patch 1.52 seemed to unbug my trophy list, it synced without issue

I have the same problem since today. Haven't tried safe mode or unlocking another trophy yet. Trophies on PS Vita are syncing fine, though. Will try out tomorrow if the PS3 syncs normally.

You've come to the right place, I'm the expert on this fucking error. (I spent days struggling with this shit till I figured it out)

1) Open your notifications screen and look for an unsyced trophy notification. Click it to sync that particular game.

2) Go into your trophies screen from the XMB. If it syncs to 100% you're all set. If it doesn't and you get an error along the way, make a list of all games which are still not syncing. (e.g. games which you know you've played but which do not show up in the list at all)

3) Go earn a trophy in one of the games on your list. Any trophy. As soon as it pops, hit the PS button, and then goto step 1.

Continue doing this until you can sync to 100%, at which point the problme will be fixed. In most cases you'll be good to go after you do step 3 only a single time, but it might take more.

Never had any issue with PSN since I bought the console.

Maybe it is regional?

I don't think it's regional, I just think it's relatively uncommon. From reading around on forums, people have experienced it with a variety of games, so it's not game-specific either.

I think occasionally due to some network latency or PSN hiccups, it just gets the sync into a bad state where it gets permanently confused, and you have to use a workaround to un-confuse it.

Apparently another workaround is to delete your profile and re-create it. I haven't tried this one but others say it works. In any case, the one I posted above is safe and you don't lose anything.

This isn't regarding syncing issues but has anyone not had their trophy unlocks show up in the notification section? I though all trophies that you unlock would create a notification which would populate in that notification section on the dashboard?

Thank you, will try this tomorrow. I already tried to sync a trophy from the notification screen, but with no luck. Will try again after i've earned another trophy.

My psn password was just reset maybe its this?

Never know, but anecdotally speaking, it happened to me before the password reset, literally on the day after the PS4 launch. I think it's just a random occurrence. Could be correlated with spikes in PSN traffic, but I don't know

cpp's fix is legit. Its a known issue (most commonly but not solely attributed to Sound Shapes DLC trophies)

Not sure if this is related but my PS4 stuff has not synced to Facebook in a week or so.

Not a huge concern but I have noticed.

OP, you were playing Sound Shapes?

Killzone Shadow Fall, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty Ghosts, Assassins Creed 4, and Resogun are the only things I've played (and unlocked trophies in). Will try to unlock another trophy in Killzone since its the only game I haven't played in awhile.

Make sure you check your trophy list in your XMB first. If you see an entry for Killzone already there, then it's not Killzone that's causing a problem.

Edit - AC4 shows up in my notifcation area, so the next time I unlock something I'll try to update from the XMB

I've read that this "problem" is related to the firmware update. Since then it seems you have to manually allow the trophies to show up in your Facebook timeline. You can do this in your activity log of your FB profile by clicking on the pencil next to the trophy. You have to do this procedure for every single trophy if you want them to show up in your timeline. I hope they change it back to automatic posts, like for PS3 and Vita trophies.

so this is almost impossible to try with sound shapes since i have to finish the game and then to get a trophy i have to complete some hell mode.

Anyone noticing an issue with trophies not automatically showing up on your FB timeline? On PS3 when I synced my trophies, they showed up, but with PS4 after I sync, I need to into the Activity Log on my FB page and manually select each trophy to show on my timeline...

I am pretty sure it was not like this when the system first launched, so has anyone else had this issue? And if so, has anyone figured out a way to fix it??

I put it in the OP but I think the 1.52 update fixed this particular error, mines finally synced without issue earlier. Not sure about the Facebook thing though, dont have mine linked to that

Thanks! It was bugging me that I might have to delete my local profile and lose my 90% trophies unlocked on Black Flag :lol

Finally fixed my problem, had to try each of my games to find out which trophies were working.

Turns out it was Contrast, started a new game and one of the trophies I had originally obtained last month popped up again and everything fixed itself.

I'm having this issue and it's driving me crazy. Went without Internet for a week and ever since it won't sync.

I finished Tomb Raider DE on PS4 on Hard last night, I traded it in for full credit toward a new game, now it says I've only got 4% of the trophies! And it won't sync up on PS4, but syncs fine on Vita!

Literally almost none of the trophies I know I've unlocked in that game are visible, and I don't have that game anymore. Ridiculous!

I had this same problem a week or two ago. Not sure if it was the same error code but my trophies wouldn't sync whenever I tried. What fixed it for me was restoring the licenses in the settings menu.

So it seems this bug was never solved, or 1.70 brought it back.

I've downloaded Daylight today and after playing it for half an hour I wanted to check the Trophies for this game. When I opened my Trophy list the game didn't show up at the top of the list like it normaly does. So I tried to sync and got the same error code like OP. Since the third try I'm getting NP-32136-5 which seems to be the same.

Some of the solutions here say to keep on playing the game, but I don't think that helps in my case. Since I checked the Daylight Trophy list online, I should've unlocked the first Trophy already, but nothing popped or showed up under Notifications.

What I tried now is launching another game I've never played before, Flower. I played until I found the first secret flower, the Trophy popped and when I opened the list, Flower was on top and the Trophy showed up. Rather strange: When I manually sync now I still get the error code but Flower is also on top of my list on Vita and the mobile app on my phone showing the one Trophy I earned

I just deleted Daylight and re-downloaded it. Still missing under Trophies...

Oh, restoring licenses didn't work either for me. Do I have to wipe my hard drive?

EDIT:

It seems it's a problem with the game itself. After searching a bit more it seems everyone has the same issue with it. Fix ASAP please.

I had a sync error a few days ago. I believe it was post 1.70 but I just gave it a day and it was fine. Maybe a server side issue that pops up under load?

I had this issue, and it's not specific to any game.

There seems to be a random hiccup when starting a game that causes the trophy sync to snag on that particular game's trophies.

For me it was Steamworld Dig.

The best way to fix it is to play the game that it gets snagged on until you get a trophy, an that should unstick things when you sync.
