I do hope they aren't pouring too much money into the TV show, honestly.

The trans-media approach of videogames/TV shows is dangerous territory and I doubt this game will be the one to buck the trend.
There's thousands of samey, eerie supernatural sci-fi shows out there and many of them fail.

At least I hope Remedy makes sure the game is good on it's own merits, not just as a small part of a bigger picture.

I figure the TV show part will work like 24. You always see what the baddies are up to then it switches back to Jack tearing shit up.

Man, I guess I'm not getting what's looking so great about this at all. Think I need to see some direct feed game play or something. Cold on this reveal.

I can't stop watching the video XD

Those graphics, DAT city landscapes, OMG, looks so good

Please don't bullshit me Remedy, I want the game to look like that when I play it XD

Visually it looks great but not out of this world like we though initially based on the reveal.

The IQ is the main difference, and the original was always too clean to be real.

It still looks stunning, and I can believe that it actually looks like that for a change.

"Cinematic action game"

Between this and The Order, I become more and more depressed at how developers continue to proudly beat their chest at how their videogame is merely trying to emulate another medium.

Nope. I love Michael Bay Explosion Fests (not even remotely kidding).

Bring on the QTEs.

Bring on the explosions.

Bring on the action-packed set pieces.

Bring on the lengthy cutscenes.

Put it all in my veins.

I can wait.

Gamescom (and 2015) just got more interesting. 2015 may be poised to be the greatest year in gaming

EDIT: ntkrnl how could you have foresaken meeee!?!

Looks ace. I love that time power stuff and Remedy knows how to do great settings with fun, pulpy storylines.

Shame we have to wait until Gamescom though, an E3 blow-out would have been nice.

Can someone explain me why is that so important to clarify if a game was delayed or not? The end result is exactly the same: game is only available 2015.

Interesting gameplay mechanic which makes sense and plays off of a unique narrative element. More games need to be able to do this.

Wow, W_D just got released after several graphical downgrades and yet everyone seems to get hyped about the looks of those clips.

You are really making it too easy.

Delayed? There was no launch date at all. Check your stuff. But nevertheless, disappointing it is not coming this year!

I'm fairly aware of that. Doesn't seem like the people who rallied against CBOAT and claimed ntkrnl as their new god don't, though.

CBOAT said a bunch of negative bs that got this riled up this whole forum and the internet. Then nothing fucking happened and I he posted about how if all the problems he mentioned hadn't "dissuaded" us he never could. Which imo looks like an obvious agenda. Then he was completely wrong about the XBOs launh. So yeah he has 0 credibility in my book. Anyone rallying against him makes sense.

Ntkrnl was wrong about things too but they were things that could easily change like release dates. If CBOAT had just gotten dates wrong there wouldn't be any problems.

I expected better visuals TBH, it has a good setting and effects of "paused explosions", "hundred of lenses in the enviroment" and "air waves distorting light", but the amount of assets on screen, their complexity, lightning... it all looks... basic.

However, if the gameworld is large and the game offers a long campaign, then all will be OK. Remedy is not a big studio, and with Alan Wake they made TOO MUCH assets. That gameworld was so full of unique assets...

They can say it wasn't delayed, but most media had this pegged for a 2014 release, hell even the games wiki page had it down as TBA 2014.

Well that was useful and useless at the same time. Well, useful in that it confirms the delay to 2015. Useless in that their is still no explanation of gameplay. Guess we have to wait till Gamescom (Aug).

The VGX vid shows the game play. Its a third person shooter with time manipulation elements. Looks like it is set to go head to head with The Order:1886.

This is a Remedy game, they have proven they can deliver on both the gameplay and cinematic fronts, so I'm not concerned one bit.

Because people prefer that information, even if it is fairly trivial, be as accurate as possible, and some posters will (and already have in this thread) try to use the "fact" that this game has been delayed as console war fodder.

Assumptions, that's how they work. They say it's still on production track, rather believe that than a wiki page.
