I mean, this damn image still captivates me.
It's like it represents the all hidden possibilities of gaming that is unrealized, unannounced, wholly original, laying in the shadows somewhere, chained up, and one day those chains will break, and whatever it is will blow our god damned minds again. Maybe I'm projecting all that pent up need for something on Shadow of the Colossus's level, maybe its been too long since something truly great came along and changed everything I thought was possible with gaming, but till then, I'm gonna keep the hope alive.
BELIEVE.
They said it was 'officially confirmed' to be cancelled. Even if their sources were right, than that still wouldn't have been true.Honestly, he's probably right. It's not like IGN is just some random gaming blog who is fishing for clicks. They're fucking IGN, the biggest gaming site out there. I'm guessing they vetted there sources to the best of their abilities, and then the editors wanted the title more sensationalized.
Surprised GAF is still up to be honest. Hope for E3!
E3 may not be able to surpass tonight.
I think this about sums up the rollercoaster I just went on for the last 20 minutes

Derp. I got gotten. Why are you posting fake tweets?
Comming from someone who works at a site that manages to dish out all the games flaws and yet give it a near perfect if not perfect score.
They didn't update the title. *face desk*IGN Updated:
Hm? I clicked on it fairly immediately after posting and it very specifically said they called Sony for comment but have not heard back yet.
So is he backing down?IGN Updated:
Little late on the Soony parade bud.

Like the one fucking thing I wanted on my ps4, this is like having a close friend die.
Yeah don't worry the gif will still live
E3 may not be able to surpass tonight.
None of them take their jobs too seriously, I guess.
"We spread misinformation? No worries. We'll fix the article. Thank you for the clicks!"
So, here's how I see the situation.
Earlier this morning, some Russian source leaks to a few no-name sites that The Last Guardian has been formally cancelled. It's quickly dismissed, people move on, etc. Saturday resumes.
In the evening, Scott Rhodes is at dinner, the rumor is brought up. He laughs it off. Hahaha, Russia.
All day, IGN waits. They know something. They know the rumor is legit, but wait all night for an additional source. Late at night, around 1AM EST - they get up the confidence to post the rumor with an official tag. Their posting's timing indiciates an additional source that proves the game's end.
GAF explodes.
Rhodes, seeing the madness, replies. Haha, he laughed this very rumor off earlier! Not knowing what else IGN knows, pushing them to delay the news. He tweets.
GAF explodes.
Sony RTs Rhodes.
GAF explodes.
So if we assume IGN is right, they have inside info that hasn't yet hit Rhodes or Sony's official PR firm.
Or we assume IGN is wrong, and they held a story all day for no good reason.

I'm going HAM on IGN via Twitter. Greg Miller unfollowed me. Haha, what a ride.
The Megaton if Sony had kept quiet. But the backlash tomorrow would and through Monday would have been insane if they didn't clarify.
They didn't update the title. *face desk*
Gotta get them clicks.
Come on man
Why don't they change the title / delete the article? It's pretty misleading...
It's fun to see everyone's true colors in this thread lol.
