Guacamelee for Xbox One. Max Curse of the Brotherhood is being extended in July while Guacamelee is swapping out Spartan Assault. Max will be swapped for something new next month.

It's brilliant. Tough but fair.
I enjoyed it very much. Got some of the best platforming ever IMO.

BBT on 360 is pretty great too. Not sure about GCI though, but I expect it'll boost the online community.

Yeah, and it's the first time the game has been available on Xbox, so it's a pretty big deal that it's free.

Pretty cool that Guacamelee will release as a free game. Can't say I'm not disappointed about Max still being there though, especially since I purchased it back when it was released.

I wonder if this is how they'll do things from now on (or until the library grows). One new game each month and another game running for a few months before being replaced.

I guessed guacamelee and fighter within in the other thread so i was 50% correct. Shame they repeated a game already, it kind of takes the wind out of the sails.

Even if they offered a smaller priced game like 60 second shooter i would have been happy.

Yep – and to any apologists asking to give MS time to figure this out...um, yeah, if they are doing this at the very beginning of the program I kind of doubt that they’re going to remedy it over time. Also, Sony seems to have no problem coming up with new content every month for PS4.

They had to copy this program from Sony (nothing wrong with that, Sony copied almost everything from Xbox Live) after its success, but they not only were too late as they are delivering something of inferior value. Incredibly frustrating.

I played Guacamelee on Vita and I really enjoyed it. Everyone should give that one a go. It's one of the better games in which you have to use all your acquired skills throughout the game.

I hope at least that we get a nice discount on other games (like Tomb Raider this month).

So on X1 it's two free games at the same time per month, but only one new Game per month. Clever (since in the end it's equivalent to one game per month, with a bonus one at the start)
Anyway, not a bad choice for July, I never played Guacamelee...

I would guess that max extension is because they want to keep up with psplus and offer 2 games per month but didn't have another game lined up yet.
