Watch Dogs 2: Settings

Is it weird that my first thought when seeing the thread title was that this would be about the graphics settings available in the sequel?

I would love to see a European or Asian city as the setting, much as a I love Chicago and would like to see it in more games instead of LA or NYC, I would also love to see a game set in Future-London, Future-Tokyo, Future-Hong Kong, etc.

As someone who thinks Watch_Dogs is one of those games that could definitely benefit from a sequel in the same way that Assassin's Creed did with AC1 --> AC2, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the next game.

They go to Camden ... New Jersey?

Just go to London, you know you want to. No need for an imposter Camden. We have plenty of cameras too.

London would be pretty cool. It has lots of (fucked up) surveillance and it's a great city.
Getaway for PS3 almost did it:

I don't think that is a spoiler about a possible location - Camden is under 24/7 hour surveillance, in real life.

Having actually been to Camden, NJ, there is exactly 0% chance that's a location for Watch_Dogs 2. Philly possibly, with Camden as a neighborhood (it's across the river).

I agree with the London suggestions. If it has to be US, do Miami since Rockstar seems to not want to go back there.

Another idea is Prague.

London's perfect.

Heavy surveillance, beautiful architecture, corruption that goes back hundreds of years and rain.

If next gen has taught us anything, it's that everything looks better in the rain.
How about you we focus on improving gameplay mechanics before bringing up the prospect of having WD2 in a different setting..
You're gonna get ulcers.

Considering London is apparently the "most spied on city" it would be awesome.. It would be great to see a big budget game based in the UK.

Them Getaway memories.

London probably. Rio de Janeiro if in the future. I'd love to explore that city but I'm unsure about it's surveillance status.

Agree with London but I'm highly biased seeing as that's where I'm from.

Would kill for a next gen (current gen?) open world here. Shame it probably won't happen any time soon.

They should have it in some rural, middle of nowhere setting where the locals are oblivious to the true capabilities of the hacking world and react accordingly upon discovering the hi-Tech blow-ins are utilising their limited broadband for clandestine purposes.

You can then have two factions - the Rural hackers of the land versus the Hi-Tech blow-ins of the City ... hilarity ensues
