RUMOR: Leaked Screens of Smash 3DS Shows Character Select Screen, Stages

My biggest problem with that character selection screen are Dr. Mario, Lucina and Dark Pit being placed separately from the other characters in their respective series. Ever since Smash 64 Sakurai has made sure all characters from the same IP are adjacent to each other in the selection squares, even if they're clones. Why change that now?

Yeah, definitely on #TeamFake

It literally has the same exact face and position.

The whole model could easily be something from Xenoblade/a skin mod for Brawl shopped into the typical win image for the 3DS version which we have many photos of.

Why do people always fall for these.

I think some of SmashGAF users agreed to not make thread until one of veteran get revealed in the future if their pose matched with the leak's pose. I might be wrong because I skimmed throughout the thread this morning.

I don't really like to give leakers they want.

Pokemon had leaks the last two games.

Also the Brawl Roster (no images though till the JP release) was leaked on GameFaqs quite a bit ahead of time.

I'm with #TeamReal. Leak 1 and Leak 2 are connected indeed. In the other hand, Leak 3 is just a piggyback for me. The main problem with this leak is the disorder of the CSS, but I think it's something will change after they add the DLC characters that the Leak 1 mentions.

Why would they make Snake a DLC instead of in game like other 3rd party characters? That makes no sense at all. Calling BS on this!

It doesn't have the same face shape or expression. So no, it last not the same. Lucina and Palutena have more similarities.

Am I the only one who's actually concerned about too many characters?

That being said, Duck Hunt would be cool and totally "Nintendo." Wish I hadn't been spoiled on that one, honest (if real).

I think people put way too much priority into arguments along the lines of "there's too many reps in the series," "this character is way more important," and "another clone??!!"

Clones are cheaper/easier to make and still do the job of inflating the roster and making at least a few fans happy. I for one never ever touch Mario in smash games but Dr. Mario is my dude from time to time.

I mean look at Melee's roster for chrissake. Ganondorf is a clone of Captain Falcoln, and although we (most of us) are cool with that now, imagining that shit happening today.

Also Bowser Jr. in his clown kart sounds like he would have a unique brawler-mech playing style that this game is lacking.

Weird that Mewtwo is cut though, assuming this leak is real.

Well, the Leak was pretty much overtaking the main Smash Thread, I thought it'd be better to give it room to breath.

And last time I checked, just because someone posts in SmashGAF doesn't make them bound by any decisions made by a majority of the posters there. I did what I thought was best, and I felt the Mods could decide whether or not this thread has merit to stay open.

Anyway, for some reason I'm having a hard time assuming this is the final roster. Seems like there should be more.

But I don't know...Shit doesn't leak out of Nintendo, that company must be run like fucking Alcatraz...

People only proved the Palutena was fake when they compared to the real 3DS model =P

...and some people STILL think that it was an early development model

To make more money. I would think twice about buying a dlc bundle with chorus kids and ice climbers. But Snake and Lucas? Yes, that sounds good to me.

The inclusion of Dr Mario and Dark Pit as their own character when we know Alts are a thing is simply asinine and makes no sense. ESPECIALLY when Dark Samus didnt get her own character even, but Dark Pit does?

You can't honestly think that unreleased character models are always static during development.

That leak pretty much can't be proven real or fake.

This is fake because there is 0 chance they would ever cut ice climbers but introduce more clones. I pray they don't cut lucas though, that's my main man.

Hmm... I recollect sending the game + footage (since they don't have to complete the game). It's been a while though.

My question is, if it was an ESRB tester, why would you use that as your user name for the leaked photos :S Even worse if 83 can be tied to a specific tester...

Note to leakers, remove any trace of you (or your buddy that got you the game)...

If these are fake, how are they made? Are people seriously creating intricate renderings of these screens based on published models and putting them on a jailbroken 3DS?

Oh yeah, forgot to bring that up.

From what I heard the Mii Fights don't appear unless Customization is turned on.

I can't see a faker forgetting to add a confirmed character, so their absence doesn't phase me. I mean you make new, good models, and then just forget a character? Not happening. My rule with leaks is that what's missing is just as important as what's there.

Shes as much as a clone as Roy was, which was yes, but a slight difference in how the damage out put works.

And yes, that was the same with Dr. Mario, so even though its stupid, you COULD argue that same thing with Dr. Mario, so Ill give you him too.

However Dark Pit still makes no sense. He was an alt in the last game for goodness sake, so it would be easier to not make a whole new moveset for him.
