My God! That's a lot of new content. I wonder if they have anything else planned for even after this to keep MK8 relevant till the next version comes out?

If this was actually a leak, they would have taken it down, like the Smash Bros stuff.

'leak' is misleading, more of an unintentional screw up that put the information up early... that said, since the leak was internal instead of external there is little reason to try and seal that genie back into it's bottle.

I'm beyond hyped for the new courses, but I'm actually one of the weirdos that don't want Mario Kart to become Smash Kart. Or at the very least, Kirby would have been a much better fit.

A course and a kart do not an F Zero game make.

This better be a hint.

Sadly, it likely means nothing. When someone asked Miyamoto in an interview about the potential return of F-Zero (due to the inclusion of F-Zero being in NintendoLand), Miyamoto was like, people still want that game to be made? Well, look forward to playing F-Zero in Nintendoland!

Boomerang and bombs actually dont make link seem so out of place.

I just want to hear his Victory Quotes. Seeing how half the characters just babble, I think he'd fit in there, too!

... Although, even though I doubt the Villager will speak, will Isabelle still make Animalese noises that can be translated into individual characters like in Animal Crossing? That'd be pretty cool! (Sorry if my post sounded so angry that I disliked this, by the way. It just still irks me that they pushed other characters out of the way to make such a disappointing roster, and the non-crossover racers are all adding to that problem, even though Dry Bowser's justified in my book).

I'm really hoping they go hogwild with the F-Zero & Excitebike levels, by the way. The Zelda/Animal Crossing ones might feel half-tacked on like the Zelda/Yoshi/NiGHTS DLC for Sonic Lost World (This is a guess, but it I can't see them getting too crazy with an Animal Crossing course, and I can see them getting lazy with a Zelda one), but F-Zero and Excitebike are already vehicle-based games in their own right, and they tie in beautifully with Mario Kart.

There is actually a group of people around here who get pissy about Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and Super Mario "spoilers".

Right. But there's a difference (I can reluctantly agree with) between being spoiled about unlockable characters in a game you bought/are going to buy, and being spoiled about additional DLC content. What would the alternative be? Charge people money for additional, undisclosed content? "Buy the mystery pack for $20!"

Man, Nintendo should take this opportunity to add traditional battle mode race courses. A remake of N64' Block Fort would be much appreciated. I guess Reggie must be rolling his eyes at some of our comments about how fans are insatiable. Thank you, but give us more. Well, Reggie, your right. Give us more, please.

I could see this being a thing >_>

You can either buy our two DLC bundles which include Link, Villager and 16 courses, or you can have what's inside the box

Unless these completely bomb, there's no way they stop at two.

People have been digging through the game files and there's only 16 slots for new tracks.

It's still unknown how many slots Nintendo has for characters, car parts, or a possible battle mode but in terms of race tracks 16 dlc seems to be it. There's also costume slots but I would guess that's tied to amiibo.

Good. One more step closer to smash kart. I remember the last time a topic about such a subject was made in GAF and there were a bunch of people saying the art style of other Nintendo games wouldn't fit or that Nintendo shouldn't do it because somehow it'll devalue the other brands. Interested to see how those people are reacting to this.

If this is real, this goes beyond my expectations in so many ways, but also fails to meet them in juust one.

I want (real) battle mode courses.
