Yep, that's really what K. Rool needs. Paon's design is nice but it needs more work. Retro could probably make K. Rool look way better.

Sakurai must have been one of those bullies, since he always says Ridley is "too big" for the game.

Now Ridley is this skinny little space bat because he wants to get in Smash. He won't even bite Samus in the games because her blood would provide unnecessary calories. What he doesn't know is that Sakurai will call him "too big" no matter how much weigh is lost, cementing the futility of his efforts. Kraid, who used to be Ridley's fellow "too big" friend in his teenage years, has resigned himself to never entering the series.

Nintendo EAD did a damn good job making DK feel like an ape. Jungle Beat was a blast, but at the same time I'm glad it didn't phase out DKC like Koizumi planned.

Actually, that's by far the best thing about the leak that made me think it was real (even though it's not). For some fucking reason, in the real leak, in Pikachu's name, the P is lower than the I, but the K and I in Kirby are at the same height. Why the fuck the game does this, I have no idea.

K. Rool's "popularity" solely comes from the fact he starred in a trilogy of stellar platformers, and because he had a kick-ass theme song.

The reason his popularity's wanted in recent years is, well, remove him from those stellar platformers and theme music, stick him in lesser *but decent* spin-offs, and, well, the flaws in his design become more apparent. He's really got nothing going for him.
